SCRIPTURE:
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise as some count slowness.
He is patient with you. not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone
to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9

God is the master of waiting: He waited some 700 years between Isaiah's
prophecy and Jesus' birth. Noah preached 100 years before the flood.
Moses was 80 when he led God's people out of Egypt. Sarah was 90
and Abraham was 100 when Isaac was born.
Let us pray that He's still waiting for this country to turn back to Him!

"wait patiently" I don't know about you, but I find God's waiting

My God realizes His will through the great and the small. All human
governments are within His power. I will not limit His plans for my life.
I know that no event is too unique and nothing is too common for Him

During Jesus' last visit to town of Bethany, Mary anointed
Jesus' feet with the costly oil of spikenard. When some of the
disciples complained about the waste, Jesus said, "Leave her
alone, she has done a beautiful thing for Me!'
Whatever that is given with a heart of love is beautiful to Him.

Usually when we think of something beautiful, we think of a beautiful face

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
"Doubting Thomas," had to examine the marks of His crucifixion
before he would believe in the resurrection. Jesus said you believe
because you see, blessed are those who have not seen, but believe.
We are the Christians that have not seen, but believe, but even we
sometimes cry out "Lord I believe, help my unbelief!

SCRIPTURE:
Blessed are those who have not seen, yet have believed. John 20:29

It is human nature, to want proof of what you believe in. And the devil
uses that weakness in our nature to plant doubts. Keeping a prayer diary
strengthens a believer... It reminds us of how many prayer request God has
fulfilled.

As a child, I accidently knocked my train to the floor and
it broke. I picked it up and took it to my father, because my

As you notice he had to bring his broken train to his dad and
he firmly believed his dad could fix it... we need the same faith

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
IN THE QUIETNESS OF DAWN:
There are mornings, the sky is painted with  pastel watercolor hues
washing the sky with the softness of morning light.
It is on such a morning that I think of Jesus going out to pray. The
Scripture tells us that Jesus went out early in the morning on several
occasions to a secluded place to pray. When most were asleep Jesus

Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up and left
the house and went off to a solitary place to pray. Mark 1:35

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
THIS TOO SHALL PASS:
Life can deliver some crushing blows: The loss of a spouse or child;
the foreclosure of a home, or the failure of a business... When we have
done all our best to be pleasing to God. The next step is to make the best
of the situation. (remember Paul and Silas in a Phillipian prison)  We are
never severed from God's love. His timing may not be what we would
have chosen, but eventually we will be able to see and receive His blessings.

THOUGHT FOR YODAY:
In the annals of US advertising the two word slogan "Got Milk?"
captured almost everyone's attention.
If "Got Milk," is a good reminder to drink milk, perhaps we could
create some two-word slogans: "Give In," to God for He loves you.
"Get Close," to Him and let Him run the show. "Get Down,"  we
need to be humble before God . "Thank You," We could never offer
enough thanks for what  He has done for us.

Happy Easter. This is the last day of our journey with Jesus.
Yesterday was the Sabbath and a day of rest, today the women
go to the tomb to take the spices they had prepared for His burial

Today is Good Friday and day six on our journey with Jesus
and we have come to the cross.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Dying for me was the most He could do
Living for Him is the least I can do.

Day 5 of our journey with Jesus to the cross.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
A SAVIOR'S EYES:
Peter wept such bitter tears
For his weakness and his wrong,
As they led Jesus out
Among the angry throng.

When Peter looked at Jesus,
He saw to his surprise,
Only love and forgiveness
In his Savior's eyes.

He (Peter) denied it again with an oath.
"I do not know this man!" Matthew 26:72

Two lessons to learn from Peter... Jesus is forgiving and

Day 4 of our journey with Jesus to the cross.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
GETHSEMANE:
We all have our Gethsemane
With indecision, pain and loss.
We feel the weight of the world
And the burden of the cross.

But Jesu was comforted,
By Angels that day,
We will have the comfort
Of the One that's been that way.

SCRIPTURE:
An Angel from heaven appeared  to him and strengthened
him. Luke 22:43

 I have a feeling this was a favorite place in Jerusalem for
Jesus. In the quiet among the olive trees. It was quiet and
peaceful the day we visited it. Do you have  favorite quiet
