Welcome to my blog:

Thought for Today:
God is great enough to rule the whole world
yet small enough to dwell in our hearts.
(Bride The Still Waters)

Scripture:
His divine power has given us everything we need
for life and godliness through our knowledge of him.
2 Peter 1:3

I love the concept of today's thought, As the songs says,
"What A Mighty God We Serve"
Good morning I have not visited this blog for awhile,
since this is the last day of May I wanted to save this thought
with you
.
MIRACLES TODAY:
God may not always give us the miracles we want. But
when our life is fully committed to Him, He will give us the
miracles we need.
The alright God we serve is still the God of miracles today.
(Beside The Still Waters)

Scripture:
Now unto him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above
all that we ask or thin, according to the power that workerh in
us . Ephesians 3:20

If you're not experiencing in miracles in your life, perhaps you
need to take a closer look...sometimes, we have to search for them!
FEELINGS

Thought for Today:
Feelings are often affected by circumstances. When we
concentrate on our feelings, we find it hard to see God at work.
In deep trials and distresses it takes faith to trust God.
(Beside The Still Waters)

Scripture:
All things work together for good to them that love God, to them
that are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28

Notice the Scripture does not say all things are good. Sometimes
bad things happen to good people...but it does say that God can work
all things to the good. We need to trust Him!

IN GOD'S WAITING ROOM:
The waiting prepares the hearts, minds and bodies for what's
to come.Yes when God asks us to wait, we can be excited,
knowing we can trust Him and the plans He has for us.
(Peter Chin-Our Daily Bread)

SCRIPTURE:
Jesus gave them this command: "Do no leave Jerusalem, but wait
for the gift My Father promised, which you have heard Me speak about"
Acts 1:4

That gift is the Holy Spirit that is also promised to us in baptism.
So the next time you have to wait for an answer from God, remember,
you have help in that waiting.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
BEYOND the NEIGHBORHOOD
In what way are you limiting your understanding of the
word neighbor? How might God be urging you to expand
the borders of your neighborhood?
(Our Daily Bread)

SCTIPTURE:
Love your neighbor as yourself.
Mark 12:31

One way I think God is urging me to expand the borders of my
neighborhood, I'm thinking about getting my little doxie, Clemmie
certified as a therapy dog, so we can visit rest homes. Pray about
that for me.
And be praying how you may expand your neighborhood as well.
CHANGE IS POSSIBLE
Our responsibility is to respond to God's ability in humility.
(Our Daily Bread)

SCRIPTURE:
"It is God who works in you to will and act in order to fulfill his
good purpose" Philippians 2:13

When we get older, we do not like change, if you are like me you
have become a creature of habit, eating at the same place, setting
to watch TV in the same place, going to bed the same time, getting
up at the same time. Setting on the same side of the church each Sunday.
When our routine is upset, so are we! Perhaps that's why God forces change
upon us. we need to change to grow in the Lord, so if you've been forced
into an uncomfortable change...thank God...He's still working on you
THE WORD OF GOD
My Book! My Book! My grand old Book! By inspiration given!
Thy every page, from age to age, Reveals the path to Heaven!
(Beside The Still Waters)

Scripture:
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for
doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.
2 Timothy 3:16

I try to thank God every day for the men and women that have gone before
me and sacrificed to much, so I can freely read His Word. I have
several translations and can carry my Bible everywhere, know that is a
privilege, that some, even in today's world is denied. Please do not take
His Word for granted!

JOY IN HARD PLACES
Lord, no matter my circumstances, help me to find joy in You.
(Our Daily Bread)

Scripture
Yet will I rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior.
Habakkuk 3:18

Habakkuk, proves that there is aways, always, something to be thankful
for. He was a minor prophet in the time of Jeremiah and like Jeremiah,
he prophesied the fall of Jerusalem to Babylon. Not much to look forward
to, but 70 years under Babylon rule, yet he rejoiced in the Lord. Not
many of us find ourselves in such unpleasant circumstances!
SURROUNDED BY GOD
Lord, when we face tough days, surround our souls
with your love. (Our Daily Bread)

Scripture:
As The mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lrod surrounds
His people both now and forevermore.
Psalm 125:2

What a comforting analogy, God surrounds us, that means
We are safe from the dangers that are around us, if not in
body, certainly in our soul!
STEADY STEPS:
Contrary to our physical experience, our spiritual steps should
become more and more steady as we grow older.
God's Word strengthens us to step steadily onward and upward.
(Dennis Martin-Beside The Still Waters)

Scripture:
"But though our outward man parish, yet the inward man is renewed
day by day." 2 Corinthians. 4:16

If you're like me and in you twilight years, don't fret about the slow
physical steps, concentrate on your spiritual steps by reading God's
Word and going to God in prayer.
THE BLESSING IS COMING
Not all rewards are immediate or visible.
(Our Daily Bread)

SCRIPRUE:
"Let is not grow weary of doing good, for the proper time
we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."
Galaions 6:9

One of the hardest lessons in our Christian walk, is to keep hopeful
when things seem hopeless. God is always working in the background
of our lives, He may sometimes seem silent, but He's never still, He is
doing things for us...visible and invisible.
(Our Daily Bread)

Scripture:
"They did not listen to him because of their discouragement
and harsh labor. " Exodus 6:9

This Scripture of course is talking about the Israelites in
Egypt. Sometimes we are like they were. Discouragement
keeps us from hearing God's voice, but gratitude will help
us hear Him...remember He's still working on you!
IT COSTS GOD
God chose to send Jesus to this earth as His Son. Jesus was
the only One capable of living a human life without blemish,
thus satisfying God's requirements of the law regarding payment
for human sin which began with Adam and Eve.
(Norma Privitt-Power for Today)

Scripture:
At the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
Romans 5:6

She choose the song: "He paid a debt He did not owe"
The rest of that refrain is: "I owed a debt I could not pay,
I need someone to wash my sins away."
And that is what Jesus did.
OUR SOURCE OF HOPE IN TRIALS:
Perhaps if you are going through difficulties, you may wonder
if you will survive?
Whatever the source of adversity may be, Peter offers insight
Praise be to God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy
he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of
ACQUIRING WISDOM
In pursing the Christian life, we acquire wisdom from learning
Biblical principles. Special classes are not required. God simply
wants an obedient heart and a willing spirit.
(In Touch)

Scripture:
"I guide you in the way of wisdom and lead you on straight paths.
Hold on to instruction, do not let it go; guard it well, for it is your
life." Proverbs 4:11 & 13

Wisdom dose not necessarily come with age...sometimes we seniors cam
be s unwise as youngsters. Wisdom comes from God.
Proverbs 16:9

So true! This past week I have been anxious for the results of
Lord, sweep away my old sins, erasing my past for a new life
in You. Help me to understand the reality of your forgiveness
and live in it joyfully. (Our Daily Bread)

Scripture:
"I have swept away your offenses like a cloud, your sins like the morning
mist " Isaiah 44:22
That's what God does through baptism in Jesus Christ, We
hangs on to our sins, not believing God has forgiven us.
Scripture:
The Son of man came to seek nd save the lost.
When my granddaughter was in Kindergarten, we went to see
(Our Daily Bread)

Scripture:
"If God is for us, who can be against us?"
Romans 8: 31

What a powerful statement! The chapter goes on to say that
nothing in all creation can can separate us from the love of God.
So today let's believe it and live our lives free of all the world's
problems and worries of life.
A Purpose In Pain
It can be hard to understand why we suffer. Yet God can use our
affliction in unexpected ways.
We are not asked to deny our pain and suffering, but we can take
heart in God's ability to use it for the good.
(Leslie Koh-Our Daily Bread)

Scripture:
God comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those
in any trouble. 2 Corinthians 1:4

Sometimes we grow the most through a painful experience. We are
not asked to like it, but to endure it, through God's grace!
Why worry when you can pray?
(Beside The Still Waters)

Scripture:
"My God will meet all your needs according to His glorious
riches in Christ Jesus."
Philippians 4:19

Now if we would just completely believe that, it world save us
from so much anxiety, but I'm afraid I'm kind of like the father
that said to Jesus "I believe, help me overcome my unbelief"
Mark 9:24 That' my prayer too!
