THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
He (Jesus) alone brought peace on earth through His presence

no greater present than the presence of the One who brought gifts
of love, joy and peace, not only at Christmas, but for our everyday
lives as well. (Daily Disciples Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
Love does no wrong to a neighbor, therefore love is the fulfillment
of the law. Romans 13:10

December 29

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Are you more Dinghy than Cruise Ship, or in my case more blue jeans
than blue blood? Are you more plumber than executive, more stand-in
than movie star? Yeah, congratulations! God changes the world with
people like you and me. (Max Lucado)

SCRIPTURE:
Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up my
cross and follow me. Matthew 16:24

God uses the ordinary to do the extraordinary... that way the glory is his
and not ours!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

December 26

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
A climber is only as secure as his equipment and his partner.
This also holds true in the spiritual realm. When you have a
personal relationship with Jesus Christ, your eternal security is
based on the power of what God has done through the resurrection .
You can always be sure of knowing that nothing can separate you
from God's love. His strength is absolute. He will never fail.
(Vantage Point Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
I am sure that neither death nor life... nor things present nor things
to come will separate us for the love of God. Romans 8:38

And that's a promise worth something!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

Greetings: God bless you this day.
Happy Christmas Eve!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Christmas Season is a time to celebrate the special people in our lives

December 23

Greetings: God bless you this Lord's Day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
We can't count on next Christmas to return to church or tell
loved ones how much we love them. We can't put off to next
year to tell our children or grandchildren how much God loves
them, how much Jesus yearns for them to come back to Him.
NOW is the time God has given you. This Christmas is the time
we have to do the things that are most important.(Christian Voices)

SCRIPTURE:
You do not know what will happen tomorrow.
James 4:4

But we do know that tomorrow God will already be there!

Greetings: God bless you this day!

for the celebration of the birth of our Savior. Meditate on the

(Daily Disciples Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the

December 20

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
This Christmas don't miss the point of celebrating Christmas.
Don't be like the innkeeper who missed seeing Jesus. Don't be
like king Herod, who was afraid to let Jesus rule his life. Don't
be like the Roman Empire, who missed Christmas because other
gods took the place of Jesus in their lives. Allow nothing else to
take the place of worshiping Jesus. (Daily Disciples Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The
Lord God have him a throne of his father, David and he will reign
over the house of Jacob forever and His kingdom will never end.
Luke 1: 32-33

This wonderful Christmas Season.... do not fail to see Jesus!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

December 19

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
When we hear old, beloved carols,
And crystal stars wink from the trees,
We read each card and old friends smile
From the corners of our memory.
(Helen Darby Berning)

SCRIPTURE:
Suddenly, a great company of the heavenly host appeared
with the angel, praising God saying,
"Glory to God in the highest
And on earth, peace to men." Luke 2:13-14

I hope you have been enjoying Christmas Carols. We have
a turn table that plays the old LP records. I have been
enjoying our Christmas Albums... Wonderful listening!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

December 18

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Christmas cannot be all things. Christmas cannot bring harmony to
your home. Christmas cannot bring peace on earth. Christmas cannot
bring lasting happiness. But Christ Himself can do all these things and
more. Not Christmas, but Christ. (Daily Disciples Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
So let no one judge you in the food or drink regarding festivals or new
moons or sabbaths, which are shadows of things to come, but the
reality is found in Christ. Colossians 2:16-17

December 16

Greetings: God bless you this Lord's Day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Jesus died for you and when you accepted Him, the case against
you ended, "once  and for all." That is, it was dismissed. Unfortunately,
many Christians live under  cloud of guilt of their own making.
(Vantage Point Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
For the death he died, he died to sin, once and for all, but the life he lives,
he lives to God, Romans 6:10

Rely on God's grace and give Him your guilt. He wants you to know
peace in Jesus Christ!

Know I prayed fr you today. Blessings-Freda

Greetings: God bless you this day!
Be in prayer for the people of Newton, CT.
If you would like to view my poem today, with that
horrible event  mind you can view it on my poetry blog.
http://fredasgradenofpoetry.blogspot.com

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
God has a plan for my life and His plans and callings are irrevocable.
Not only is God with me as I go forward, but He also has never left me.
I look back and see God's tremendous grace for me. Do you have regrets
for wasted years? Know today, that God will restore them all. If you
have been away from God, come back. Repent and ask the Lord to sit on
the throne of your life and carry out his plans for you.
(Daily Disciples  Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten.
Joel 2:25

God has a plan for each of us. If we are not willing to fulfill it, He will find
someone who will... His schedule will proceed without us!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

December 14

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
If our gratitude depends on out outward circumstances, it does
not occupy a permanent place in our lives. When the winds of
adversity blow, and  we are in trouble and need help and can still
say to God "Thank You," we have gained spiritually.
(Bread From My Oven)

SCRIPTURE:
Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his
wonderful deeds for men, for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the
hungry with good things. Psalm 107:8-9

This time of year troubles and sorrows seems magnified, let's
begin each day with thanks to our Lord.

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

December 14

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Christ's resurrection releases you from the fear of death.
"Consider yourselves dead to sin and alive in God in Jesus
Christ." (Romans 6:11) What a wonderful promise of hope
an encouraging message to help you walk each day. Sin
cannot control you and death need not frighten you.
(Vantage Point Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
Just as Christ was raised from the dead... we too  might walk in
newness of life Romans 6:4

Comforting words, when we've lost a loved one that has gone home to
be with the Lord!

December 12

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Grace is mercy or favor of God and it comes into the world in
the person of Jesus Christ. His precepts teach us how to govern
our lives. However in the world today grace has an active and
engaged adversary. The enemy traps people in fear and despair
with lies. (Vantage Point Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
Grace also might reign through righteousness leading to eternal
life through Jesus Christ our Lord . Romans 5:21

Thank God for His grace that he is so willing to bestow upon us.
He wants us to live our lives free of fear and despair!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

December 11

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
One look at a sunrise should cause us to exclaim, "I love Thee, my Jesus."
One note from a birdsong should prompt us to sing out, "I love Thee, my Lord.
The heart's view of calvary should inspire us to respond. (Bread From My Oven)

SCRIPTURE:
Whoever loves God must also love his brother. 1 John 4:21

This is the season for love and goodwill. If you have any fences
to mend... now is a perfect time for it!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

December 10

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Christ is our greatest role model of a servant-leader. He was
king of kings, yet He humbled Himself to wash the dirty feet
of His disciples just before going to the cross, in ultimate
obedience. Pray that God will give you a heart to serve others.
(Vantage Point Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
Whoever wants to become great, must be a servant and who-
ever wants to be first, must be a slave to all. Mark 10:43-44

This time of year, we have so many opportunities to show a
servant heart, be in prayer that God will lead you to the ones,
He wants you to help!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

December 9

Greetings: God bless you this Lord's Day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Can we trust God? Is He powerful enough? You and I are limited.
No one can stain or soil God. No sin contaminates Him.
We're limited by brain capacity, time, relationship overload and
responsibilities. God has no limit on time, power and love. He
counts the stars and names each one-our Lord is great and powerful.
There is not limit to what He knows. (Max Lucado)

SCRIPTURE:
He determines the number of the stars and calls them by name. Great
is our Lord and mighty in power. Psalm 147:4-5

The only limits God has are the ones we put on Him... He can't help us if
we won't let Him!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

December 8

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
There are many times that I have ask God to give me a favor in
certain situations with certain people. Sometimes we hold back
asking for such things, because we feel unworthy and undeserving.
But the Lord wants us to ask, because He loves to answer. I have
been given a favor in situations where I deserved nothing but wrath.
When we truly embrace God's grace, we can begin to understand a
snippet of how much He loves us. (Author Unknown)

SCRIPTURE:
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son.
John 3:16

I'm sure God sometimes wants to ask us, "How much more proof
do you need , that I love you?"

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

December 6

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
God always has something for you: a key for every problem, a light
for every shadow, a relief for every sorrow and a plan for every tomorrow.
(Author Unknown)

SCRIPTURE:
If God is for us, who can be against us?  Romans 8:31

The above thought was on Face Book and I thought it worth sharing!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

December 5

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
God has a master plan for your life. When you disregard that plan,
you create an unstable structure that could come tumbling down.
When that happens, you must cling to hope and return to God,
the divine architect. He is always ready to help you rebuild your
life. If it is too late for master plan A, then your faithful God will
unfold the blueprint for master plan B.
(Moments of Peace in the Presence of God)

SCRIPTURE:
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will
counsel you and watch over you. Psalm 32:8

God has a plan for your life and mine and when we mess up, He works
around that.  His plans will go on as scheduled!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

December 4

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Our perspective matters. If we continually see things from man's
perspective, we will be discouraged and disappointed in the Lord.
If we choose to get into the Word and see life from His perspective,
we will find joy and peace and excitement by drawing close to God.
(Daily Disciples Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness goodness
faithfulness gentleness and self-control.
John 5:22-23

When you do not feel His presence or you feel He has not answered
your prayer, know He has something better planned for you.

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

December 3

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
People liked Jesus . Oh, there were those who scoffed at His claims.
They called Him a blasphemer, but never called Him a braggart.
They accused Him of heresy, but never of arrogance. He was branded
a radical, bur never called unapproachable. His faith made Him likable,
not detestable, would that ours do the same.  (Max Lucado)

SCRIPTURE:
And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and men.
Luke 2:52

Today's thought, something to think about... does our faith make us likable,
approachable?

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

December 2

Greetings: God bless you this Lord's Day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Where are you dear one? Fainthearted because your focus is not on
the Lord? He alone can give you new life and new hope... in your
home, in your community and in the world. Trust in Him. Let Him
give you strength for every trial and hope for each new day.
(Vantage Point Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
You found new life for your strength, and so you faint not.
Isaiah 27:10

He sent His son to bring hope to a dark world. Let your light
shine to bring that hope into the lives of others!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

December 1

Greetings: God bless you this day!

Welcome to December. As we enter this special
season, may we all bring "Joy To The World"
That is the title of my poem on my poetry blog
for today.
http://fredasgardenofpoetry.blogspot.com

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Joy to the world, begins with each of us individually. Joy cannot
come without conscious awareness of the Lord's promised presence.
Wherever we go and whatever we do, let our thoughts dwell on God
in our daily routines of life. Let there be peace on earth and let it
begin with me. (Daily Disciples Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
And you will have joy and gladness and many will rejoice at His birth.
Luke 1:14

As we enter this Christmas Season, with so many commercial things thrown our
way and so many trying to leave Christ out of the season... let us remember:
"Jesus is the reason for the season!"

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda
