and paupers. His arsenal of temptation is stockpiled. His understanding
of our weak points and our "hot buttons," insightful. His timing, uncanny.
No one is immune to his temptation. So, what's the best way to resist?

When Jesus was tempted, He used Scripture, to answer every question the devil

"The Longest Day"

Our attitude in worship is far more important that the position
of worship. (Our Daily Bread)
SCRIPTURE:
Oh, come let us bow down; let us kneel before the Lord our maker.
Psalm 95:6
I don't think God is as much concerned with our position of worship, as He
is our love and devotion!

Greetings: God bless you this day!
THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Praise God we do not have to worry about the prophets of doom.
We know that no misguided politician or iron-fisted tyrant or
suicidal-terrorist can shake our firm foundation. That is because
our citizenship is not of this world; our allegiance lies with Jesus
who has already overcome the world. And even if the walls are
crumbling around us, we can have peace.

And the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard
your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7
Sam Shewmaker, a missionary to Africa, made this statement once,
"My birth certificate says I'm a citizen of Africa. My drivers license says
I'm a citizen of America, but my Bible tells me I'm a citizen of heaven.
I believe my Bible!

When the eyes of the heart are opened, great things happen. When
the attitude changes, bigger blessings fall, And when we change
our perception, life becomes perfectly content.

Wow! Losing your sight is an adjustment! Jim is slowly experiencing this
with macular degeneration. it is an adjustment for both of us!

David was a man after God's own heart. He suffered greatly, but after
each calamity, he counted it "joy in the Lord." Take David's attitude
to heart... be reminded to be filled with joy . (Vantage Point Devotional)

Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven. Matthew 5:12
For a Christian, being filled with joy is a choice; if we relied on our circumstances,
life would be a roll-a-coater of joy and despair; we rely on God not our
circumstances!

Welcome to June!
THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
God is our potter. We were created from the dust of the ground and
molded into the shape our Creator intended-in God's image. But
because of sin we become pots in need of reshaping. So to the Christian,
God reshaped us and gave us new life through the blood of His Son.
(The Upper Room)
SCRIPTURE:
O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay and you are the potter; we are
the work of your hand. Isaiah 64:8
And sometimes the pot becomes broken and if we want the Master Potter to
mend us, we must give Him all the pieces!
