THOUGHT FOR TODAY:

A blind person asked St. Anthony, "Can there be

anything worse than losing eye sight?" He replied,

"Yes, losing your vision." (From Pat Beck)

SCRIPTURE:

For judgement I have come into this world, so the blind

will see and those who see will become blind. John 9:39

The reference for this verse says:"In a sense Jesus did not

come to judge, but his coming divides people, and this

always brings a type of judgment. Those who reject his

gift end up blind." May you never lose your vision!

I have on my my refrigerator door a plaque that says:

"More things are wrought by prayer than this world

dreams of." My challenge to you: test this and see if

it is not true!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:

The most serious conflict we will ever have will not

be with our spouse, child or coworker... but with the

Lord. Scripture teaches us that we're hopelessly at

odds with the holiness of God. His standards are

so high that even our best efforts are offensive to

Him, But the Good News is that the Lord made it

possible for our sins to be removed, so that we can

be reconciled with Him. This is possible through

Jesus Christ, who died on the cross, so our sins

would not be counted against us.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:

If we are going to be made into wine, we need to

be crushed; you cannot drink grapes.

SCRIPTURE:

Men do not pour new wine into old wineskins. If they

do, the wineskins will burst. No, they pour new wine

into new wineskins. and both are preserved.

Matthew 9:17

Jesus was certainly crushed... so that we could bask in

the "the new wine," of his love!
