October 31

Greetings: God bless you this day!
Happy Halloween!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Following a meeting one dark night, I travelled down a familiar
road, but there was construction on the road and I wasn't sure about
the detour, but I just followed the white line to safety.
We need a guide in the dark. Danger grows when we cannot see ahead.
God's care gives us hope and direction in the dark-a white line that provides
us with focus and stability. (Sheryl Baker-Power for Today)

SCRIPTURE:
I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness,
but have the light of light. John 8:12

If you think I use the above Scripture a lot... it is one of my favorites and such
a comforting promise.
When things go bump in the night, I've always had a wild imagination of
"boogie" men in the dark!

October 30

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
RECIPE FOR JOY:
Praises to God.
Singing to the Lord.
Regular visit to His Word.
And if you have trouble sleeping instead of warm milk or
counting sheep, recount the glorious episodes of God's power,
rescue, love and protection. (Mrs. Bill Teague-Power for Today)

SCRIPTURE:
Do not grieve for the joy of the Lord is your strength.
Nehemiah 8:10

And remember to talk to God, often. Like all fathers, He wants to hear
from us!

October 29

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Most of us become angry at times, but we should never allow
that anger  to become violent and or cause us to sin.
(Sue Latham-Power for Today)

SCRIPTURE:
A fool gives vent to his temper, but a wise man keeps himself
under control. Proverbs 29:11

We need to remember when we are angry... words can never be unsaid!

October 28

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Do we have walls that we need to rebuild? Hope and trust
sometimes need rebuilding. People we meet today may need
us to listen to their story. Rebuilding walls is difficult and listing
is not always easy. But listening can help people to rebuild
their lives. (Betty Bender-Power for Today)

SCRIPTURE:
Carry each other's burdens and that way you will fulfill the law of
Christ. Galatians 6:2

Rebuilding broken walls of our lives can sometimes be a burden that
is heavy to bear, and that is why God gave us each other.

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

October 27

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Even when our situation looks difficult, we can trust that God
is leading. He already knows what we'll need before we get there.
(Dave Branon-Our Daily Bread)

SCRIPTURE:
(The water was bitter) Then Moses cried out to the Lord, and the Lord
showed him a piece of wood. He threw it into the water and the water
became sweet. Exodus 15:25

Sometimes God chooses simple things to solve difficult situations and
because they are so simple, we overlook them!

October 26

Greetings: God bless you this Lord's Day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
We must recognize evil for what it is. Satan tries to disguise
his evil plans and make them look beautiful. He attacks us in
unexpected ways. We must come out of the shadows and be
aware of his methods. (Portis Ribble-Power for Today)

SCRIPTURE:
I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me shall never walk in
darkness. John 8:12

When we walk with Him, He will banish all the shadows of doubt, fear
and trouble... it is when we move away from Him that the shadows move
in!

October 25

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Let us not lose sight of the fact that our power, strength, and yes,
even the opportunity to use them-come from God. In good times
or bad, we live by every word that comes from the mouth of the
Lord. (Tim Willis-Power for Today)

SCRIPTURE:
He humbled you to teach you that man does not live by bread alone,
but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.
Deuteronomy 8:3

We forget those lessons sometimes and think we must do it all on our
own!

Know I prayed for you tody. Blessings-Freda
