August 23

Greetings: God bless you this Lord's Day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
A blazing fire is glorious, but when spent, nothing remains
but gray ashes. A somber contrast to the colorful flames
that danced so high in the air, filling the room with warmth.
At times, you may feel that your life is reduced to ashes, that
your strength is gone and the flames you once carried inside
is cold and colorless. God promises that even at your lowest
point, he is there to rekindle the flame within you.
(Moments of Peace in the Presence of God)

SCRIPTURE:
Why am I discouraged? Why so sad? I will put my hope in God.
Psalm 143:5 (NLT)

Hope is like a spark in the ashes of yesterday's fire. Sometimes
the ashes look so dead, but add a little kindling (God's word)
and blow on the ashes (a little prayer) and a spark will come to
life!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda
