August 26

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
LEADER:
Love your neighbor as yourself.
Enthusiasm is better than wealth.
Adoration belongs to God, not man.
Determination to do the best you can.
Endurance will be put to the test.
Reward will come when at last you rest.
(Today's poem)

SCRIPTURE:
Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you.
Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.
Hebrews 13:7

One thing to remember: We're all leaders. Someone is following in
your footstep, so be careful where they lead.

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

August 25

Greetings: God bless you this day:

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
The hardest place to go is where you've been a failure.
(Henrietta Mears)

SCRIPTURE:
Answer me quickly O Lord; my spirits fail.
Psalm 143:7

One thing to remember:  failure is only fatal, if we let it be...the
choice is ours

Know I prayed for you today. Blessing-Freda

August 24

Greetings: God bless you this day!
This is day 3 in the three day series of
"We Can Know"

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
We Can Know Some Things About The Future:
We know that when the Lord appears , we will see Him just as He
is, and we will be like Him. That motivates us to keep ourselves
pure through all that we do now. (Bill McFarland)

SCRIPRURE:
What we will be has not yet been known. But we know when he appears
we shall be like him. 1 John 3:2

We may not know what tomorrow holds, but we know the One who holds
tomorrow in His hands!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

August 23

Greetings: God bless you this day!
This is day 2 in the 3 day series, "We Can Know."

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
We Can Know Some things About Life And How We Should Live:
1. We can know there is a difference between those who are of God
and those who belong to the evil one. 1 John 5:19
2. We can know that God's children do not make sin a way of life.
1 John 5:18
3. And we know we are supposed to love each other. 1 John 3:14
(Bill McFarland)

SCRIPTURE:
Now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest
of theses is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13

We can know above all else in life...Christians are to love one another!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

August 22

Greetings: God bless you this day!
I'm doing another 3 day series. "WE KNOW" Today is  "We Can Know God."

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
WE CAN KNOW SOME THINGS ABOUT GOD:
We can know He loves us, (1 John 4:16)
We can know He hears our prayers. (1 John 5:15)
We can know that His Son died for our sins. (1 John 5:20)
We can know that vengeance belongs to God. (Hebrews 10:30)
(Bill McFarland)

SCRIPTURE:
And we know that in all things God works for good of those who love
him. Romans 8:28

Paul did not say all things were good, but that God works all things to our
good "of those you love Him." And that is an important statement. We cannot
love Him, if we do not know Him and we cannot know Him, unless we read His
Word.

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

August 21

Greetings: God bless you this Lord's Day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
I enjoy watching relay races. In a sense Christians are in a relay
race, carrying the baton of faith and the knowledge of the Lord and
His Word and passing it on to the next generation,
(Lawrence Darman-Our Daily Bread)

SCRIPTURE:
We will tell the next generations of the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord.
Psalm 78:4

The present day technology has just about whipped out the art of story-
telling and conversation. I used to loved to listen to my parents and grandparents
tell stories. When was the last time you had a family gathering and just  talked,
without Kindle, IPod or cell phone?

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

August 20

Greetings God bless you this day!
Today is #4 in the 4 day series of 4 great faiths that built America.
Today is: " Faith in Freedom" My poem however is ,"Faith Of Our Fathers."
Without the faith, dedication and sacrifice of our forefathers, we would
not enjoy the freedom  we have today, nor would we have a place to worship!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
The search for freedom to worship God brought early colonists to these shores.
Our philosophy of government (as expressed in the Declaration of Independence)
holds that freedom is a God-given right, not a state-granted privilege! The church
too, holds out freedom to a world in bondage, freedom from sin, guilt, doubt and
fear. (Bobby Dockery)

SCRIPTURE:
For in this hope we were saved.
Romans 8:24

This country was built on hope in God...and somewhere along the way it , for
the most part, has lost that hope... let us once again renew that hope and the
faith of our forefathers! Pray for America!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda
