July 24

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Each of us is guided while we act as guides to one another.
Everywhere we look, someone is learning from us and we
from them. (New Beginnings)

SCRIPTURE:
Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen
in me-put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
Philippians 4:9

And I must ask myself... what are others learning from me today?

July 23

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Nothing greater can happen to a human being than to be forgiven.
(From Paul Tillich-Dave Schultz-Power for Today)

SCRIPTURE:
When we are overwhelmed by sins, you forgive our transgressions.
Psalm 65:3

There is no heavier burden on the heart than the burden of guilt for our sins.
And God is not waiting to club us over the head, but to lovingly forgive us!

July 22

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Has adversity ever paralyzed you? Sometimes we are swept away
by sorrow, pain or fear. We can't think objectively or with any hope.
Remember, Jesus was deceived, deserted, tortured and crucified, but
on the third day He arose.
In all our sufferings, His resurrection is our hope for the light to overcome
the darkness. The victory is His. (S. Bill Jimenez-Power for Today)

SCRIPTURE:
But thanks be to God! He gives us victory through our Lord, Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 15:57

Even though adversity is not pleasant,  we will grow more through it than we do
through all the good-times. This is true of nations as well, every nation turns to God
in adversity and away from God during times of prosperity.

July 21

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
As we dwell in God's presence, in the light of His love, we cannot
help but glorify Him. What better way than to sing His praises, spend
time in His Word. The more time we spend with Him, the more He be-
comes a vital part of our day to day lives., and the better we know Him.
(Pat Earl-Christian Voices)

SCRIPTURE:
I will extol the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips.
Psalm 34:1

The only way you get to know people, is to spend time with them... the
same goes for God, you cannot know Him, if you do not spend time with
Him!

July 20

Greetings: God bless you this Lord's Day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
God is aware of our heartaches, our voids, our loneliness. He
fills our cup with blessings. God provided for David and He
still provides. (Carol Rhodes-Power for Today)

SCRIPTURE:
You have anointed my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Psalm 23:5

David had many trials, and much sorrow, but he could still say,
"my cup overflows." That's why he was a man of God's own
heart!

July 19

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
"Pointing Fingers"
Today, let us resolve to use our fingers and hands to give a "hand up"
to the needy and to "point" the way to the cross to the spiritually
starved. Let us point our hands upward in prayer,. In doing this we
not only point our fingers, but our while body toward God.
(Elaine McGuire-Power for Today)

SCRIPTURE:
If you do away with the yoke of oppression, with the finger pointing and
malicious talk, and if you spend yourselves in the behalf of the hungry and
oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness , and your night will become
like noonday. Isaiah 58:9-10

If the devil can get church members fighting among themselves, they do his work
for him!

July 18

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Climb every mountain, ford every stream
Follow every rainbow, till you find your... dream.
(From the Sound of Music)

SCRIPTURE:
The kingdom of God is like a treasure hidden in a field. When a
man found it, he hid it again and in his joy he sold all he had and
bought the field. Matthew 13:44

The above lines of the song from "Sound of Music' can be applied to our
Christian walk.
