Astronomers a treasure trove of observations of distant
planets.
The extent of God's handiwork in the skies has only begun
to become known. How much more do we know today than
David did? And yet he knew-as we do- that the heavens show
fantastic craftmanship of a personally involved Creator. What
a dramatic example of His power.
The same Creator is a Lord of awesome love... love that was manifest
in His Son, Jesus, whose life was sacrificed for mankind and his
salvation. All planetary discoveries cannot compare with the touch of

Even though we may have walked with Jesus for most
of our lives, we may not know him as thoroughly as
we expected. We study our Bible; we go to church, we
have good examples from our senior saints. Still we
are slow to grasp the loving power, the Presence, the
guidance in our lives. We do not always see him in the
hungry child, the hurting teen or the lonely widow, in
the handicapped or the blind. (Christian Voices)

SCRIPTURE:
Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger
on needing clothes or sick and in prison? He replied,
"Whatever you did not do for the least of these, you
did not do for me." Matthew 25:44-45

We need to see him also in the faces of the stressed-out
checker at the super-market or the rude drive in the car
next to us (my personal failure) or the harassed mom
that allows a child to scream while you're eating a meal
in a restaurant. Everyone we meet has a burden or a trial
they're facing. We need to see then as Jesus sees them!

I would like to recommend a TV program that is on tonight.
It's called SCHOOL PRIDE ("Rising From the Flood.") It
is the an elementary school in Kingston Springs, TN. The
school was devastated by the flood that hit the Nashville area.
Our daughter, Janet Walker, is the director of the Kingston Springs
library and she volunteers at this school each Friday. It will be
on NBC (Channel 4 in our area at 8PM)

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
God offers His message of overwhelming love in the Gift of His Son
that provides life to the faithful through the blood of Jesus.
