January 31

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Broken by a series of mounting troubles, Job felt abandoned.
When God finally spoke, He did not tell Job way he was suffering,
instead He drew Jobs attention to  a series of natural wonders that are
always whispering to us and sometimes shouting about the wisdom
and power that is far greater than our own.  Job 38: 1-11
(Mart Dehaan-Our Daily Bread)

SCRIPTURE:
By you I have been upheld from birth. Psalm 71:6

When we compare our momentary suffering with eternity with God, we realize
how blessed we are and it fillls our hearts with wonder!

Know that I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
God pursues us in our restlessness, receives us in our sinfulness,
holds us in our brokenness. (Scotty Smith)

SCRIPTURE:
Sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under the
law but under grace, Romans 6: 1-14

Don't you pity those who do not believe that God is real and has
never known His grace?

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

January 29

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Let's deliberately cultivate an attitude of contentment in God,
and faithfully submit to Him, for our Provider will care for us.
(Marvin Williams-Our Daily Bread)

SCRIPTURE:
Cast your anxiety on him for he cares for you.
1 Peter 5:7

The trouble with anxiety, is that we sometimes can't see beyond it,
that's where God's grace comes in... He's there, even if we don't
feel His presence and He hears the prayers of our heart, when we
can't speak them!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

January 28

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Jesus longs to turn our mistakes into amazing examples of His grace.
(Our Daily Bread)

SCRIPTURE:
Jesus touched his ear and healed him. Luke 22: 39-51

The above Scripture is from the story of when they came to arrest Jesus.
Peter cut off the ear of a servant of the high priest. Jesus reached out and
touched his ear and healed him. I wonder if this changed the life of this
man?

January 27

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
We owed a debt we could not pay; Jesus paid a debt
he did not owe. (Our Daily Bread)

SCRIPTURE:
God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that we
might  become the righteousness of God.
2 Corinthians 5:21

Today's thought is a line in a song we often sing at church.
Such a few words for such a BIG blessing!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

January 26

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
This is Our father's world. Let us show Him how much we
love Him by respecting it and caring for the people who
populate it. To mistreat God's creation (man or world) is
to offend the Creator. (Marvin Williams-Our Daily Bread)

SCRIPTURE:
The earth is the Lord's, and all its fullness, the world and those
who dwell therein. Psalm 24:1

We have a responsibility to take care if this beautiful world God created
for us... but we must remember to worship the Creator, not the creation!

January 25

Greetings: God bless you this Lord's Day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
BLESSING OF BELIEVING:
God is a promise keeper. The blessings that come from receiving
a promise from God is not postponed until those promises are
fulfilled. Anticipating the fulfillment of God's promises is an
opportunity to demonstrate that we have placed our faith in the
One who is always faithful. (Steve Stewart-Power for Today)

SCRIPTURE:
For your compassions (blessings) never fail. They are new every morning.
Great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:23

This great country was founded on the blessings of believing in God... pray
for continued blessings in that belief!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

January 24

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Today, people all around us are in need of someone to
take action to help them. It is a high privilege to become
the hands of God as we respond on His behalf to cries
for help. (Joe Stowell)

SCRIPTURE:
(The Lord) will be very gracious to you at the sound of your
cry.  Isaiah 30:19

Having recently been the recipient of help from so many, I can
certainly say it was such a blessing. Sometimes we think. "There
is not anything I can do!" We can always pray! What a comfort
it is to know that so many other Christians are praying for you!

Know I prayer for you today! Blessings-Freda

January 23

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
In the face of such great love, we honor Him by accepting
His forgiveness as sufficient. We must forget what lies behind
and keep pressings forward. (Randy Kilgore)

SCRIPTURE:
Forgetting those things which are behind... I press toward the goal.
Philippians 3:13-14

If we fail to forgive ourselves, we actually insult God. What we are
saying is that we do not believe His power is sufficient!

Greetings: God bless you this day!
Below is two verses from today's poem on FB. It was first posted
a year ago today. http://fredasgardenofpoetry.blogspot.com

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
MAKE ME A BLESSING:
Father, make me a light,
That lightens each day,
A travelers road,
And their darkened pathway.

Father, may I be the one,
That helps those who fall,
When others are in need,
May I answer the call.
                          ~Freda Fullerton

SCRIPTURE:
As I have love you, you also love one another.
John 13:34

As I have learned this past month. when the roll is reversed
and you are in need of help, accept it graciously!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
If you're discouraged because God hasn't shown up
in a blaze of glory,  perhaps He's revealing Himself
with His quiet presence. (Julie Ackerman Link)

SCRIPTURE:
Trust the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your
own understanding. Proverbs 3:5

I read once that when a teacher gives a test the teacher is
silent. If God seems silent at this time time your life, perhaps
you are being tested?

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

January 20

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Knowing the Bible helps us know the God of the Bible.
(Our Daily Bread)

SCRIPTURE:
Oh how I love your law! It is my meditation all the day.
Psalm 119:97

Every year I make only one New Year resolution. To read the entire
Bible that year. One year I read the "One Year Bible" the next year I
read F. LaGard Smith's Chronological Bible. This is the year for the
chronological and I'm still in Genesis. Yesterday I read about Joseph
meeting his brothers in Egypt. You know it's like meeting old friends
if you're familiar with the Scriptures. If you have never read the Bible
through in a year, I urge you to try it.

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

January 19

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
When we reflect on the power of God's creation, we see the
power of His care for us. (Our Daily Bread)

SCRIPTURE:
When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon
and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are
mindful of him? Psalm 8:3-4

Looking up into a vast starry sky, will certainly give you a perspective
of the power of God's creation, and the smallness of man. The same
God that created the vast starry sky, also created the lowly caterpillar
that become a beautiful butterfly! So Psalm 8 continues..."You made
him (man) a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him
with glory and honor!" And in this vast universe, he cares for each of us!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

January 18

Greetings: God's blessings this Lord's Day.
I'm back on line after a move and suffering the flu,
which I'm not entirely over. I've missed you all!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
The secret of peace is to give every anxious care to God.
(Our Daily Bread)

SCRIPTURE:
Be anxious for nothing... let your request be known to God.
Philippians 4:6

Today's thought certainly hits me where I live! Through moving,
selling a house and a bout with the flu, it has left me with high anxiety.

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda
