Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Do not give up:
The enemy will use every scheme he can against us
to discourage us. When the Lord calls you to step up,
you must go. Once you make the decision, you will be
tested. Through the Holy Spirit, you can overcome and
live a life pleasing to God. (Daily Disciple Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season
we will reap a harvest, if we do not lose heart.
Galatians 6:9

Me... I'm willing to be a fool for Christ. If you step out
beyond your comfort-zone, you will mess up once in a
while, but you must ask yourself... "Is Christ worth it?"

The children were hungry and there was no food or
money. The mother prayed. Across town a woman
remembered that she owed this mother money for
baby-sitting. She drove across town, before the grocery
store closed and paid the mother. God delivered this

SCRIPTURE:
Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him.

Greetings: God bless you this day!
I missed yesterday, because for some reason
I could not sign in on this blog.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Everyday they show up... the things which go wrong
during the day, those irritating happenings that

and live victoriously. (Vantage Point Devotional)

Greetings: God bless you this Lord's Day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Jesus is a perfect example of friendship. He laid
down His life just for us, because He is our true
friend. Do you have a friend who is there for you?
Regardless of how alone you may feel, at times,
we need to take heart in knowing that Jesus is
always our Friend. He will never leave us or
forsake us, (Daily Disciples Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
Greater love has no man then this, that he lay down
his life for his friend. John 15:13

Chances are small, that we will be called to lay down our
life for a friend, but we are called to be a friend. And if we
want a friend... we must be a friend!

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Who Would Have Thought:
That when you wished your kids didn't need you so much.
you one day would wish they did?
That when there wasn't enough time in the day, you might
someday wonder how to fill in your free time?
That when you couldn't wait to get your drivers license, you
would one day give it up?
That you would finally have more than enough stuff?
That grandchildren grow up even faster than children?
That a smile, a touch and a listening ear are worth far more
than expensive gifts?
That each day can be a blessing and a chance to be a blessing
to others?

SCRIPTURE:
Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
Matthew 5:7

So... today, go out and be a blessing to someone. It's latter than
you think!

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
As Michael Collins orbited around the far side of
the Moon in darkness, Collins was 250.000 miles
from Earth and cut off from radio transmission. He
wrote in his journal," I am truly alone and absolutely
alone from any known life. I am it!"
Alone in the darkness can be utterly terrifying. But
calm yourself: You are God's child, and he has promised
you light, not darkness. He is the light of the world.
(Vantage Point Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
You will not fear the terror of the night. Psalm 91:5

As we walk in the light, the darkness, like a shadow, is
behind us!

You are the world's light-a city on a hill, glowing
in the night for all to see. Don't hide your light.

a deed!

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
It is a dangerous thing to ask why someone else has
been given more. It is a humbling thing-and indeed
healthy-to ask why you have been given so much.
(Condaleezza Rice)

SCRIPTURE:
Who am I, O Lord, and what is my family, that you
have brought me this far? 2 Samuel 7:18

I think one of the reasons God called David, "A man after
my own hear," was David's thankful heart!

Mothers will hold their children's hands for a
short time, but their hearts forever.
(Heartwarmers)

SCRIPTURE:
Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and
have no compassion for the child she has borne?
Isaiah 49:15

Mother's Day is over, but mothers are still mothers.
One time years ago, my neighbor's mother made a
wise statement. "Mothers are mothers from the
cradle to the grave. When they're little they can step
on your toes, when they grow-up they can step on your
heart.." In other words love and responsibility does
not end with graduation or even marriage.

Happy Mother's Day. My poem today is in honor
of my mother, who died on Mother's Day 1993.
"My Mother's Hands," Maybe this poem fits
your mother as well.
http//fredasgardenofpoetry.blogspot.com

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
I think the day comes when every daughter realizes that
her mother is more than her mother; she's another
woman with a heart that can be broken too.
(Touched by an Angel)

SCRIPTURE:
Honor your father and your mother-which is the first
commandment with a promise-that it may go well with

lives long enough) that one day she looks in the mirror
and sees her mother looking back at her.

May 7

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Today's verse exhorts us to let God's word
"dwell in you." This implies more than just
occasional usage, but rather immersing yourself
into His principles and teachings. When we read
the Bible daily and let it speak to us through it,
we soon find its truth changing us from the inside
out. (Vantage Point Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you
teach and admonish another with all wisdom.
Colossians 3:16

If we want to find the right path we need to read the
road-map (His Word) or else we may follow the wrong
path!

its difficulties and even its tragedies, but

SCRIPTURE:
The Lord is my strength and my shield.
Psalm 28:7

There are some words to an old song that goes

is. How little things cause big things. (Touched by an Angel)

while and then vanishes. James 4:14

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Where is the safest place you know? Children,
sometimes think it is under the bed or in a closet.
In reality, their most comforting place should be
in the arms of their loving mother or father.
The same is true for you! Your Heavenly Father
yearns to have you take shelter in His arms.
(Vantage Point Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
Psalm 91:1

Helping people takes time, and free time is a
commodity most of us have in scant supply. It
is probably at least partly true, for that reason,
that the time we give others is such a treasure
to God. (Stephen Fortosis)

SCRIPTURE:
A wise man will know the proper time and procedure.
Ecclesiastes 8:5

Take time for other people today... even if it's no more
