March 31

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
God closes doors no man can open and God opens
doors that no man can close. (From Phyllis Leonard)

SCRIPTURE:
(Jesus speaking, said, ) :No man comes to the Father
except through me. John 14:6

And God can do through Jesus Christ, what no man can
do... save your soul!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

March 30

Greetings: God bless you this day!
I've been having problems controlling my BP. The medicine they
gave me makes me feel lousy, so I've not sent out my message in
a day or two.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Serenity is a gift promised when we let God handle our lives.
No crisis need worry us. The solution is only a prayer away.
(Hazelden Medications)

SCRIPTURE:
And the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard
your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7

Sometimes, when a crisis hits my life, I forget who's in charge and
serenity flies out the window!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

March 26

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Joyful people are on the move. They rip through the
world repeating everywhere what they've heard. Joy
is the jubilant chorus all living things make, singing
the praises of God, Joy is the irrepressible buoyancy
you feel when you have been forgiven.
(Moments of Peace in the Presence of God)

SCRIPTURE:
May the righteous be glad and rejoice before God; may
they be happy and joyful. Psalm 68:3

Do you feel the joy of forgiveness?

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

March 25

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Can't sleep? Don't count sheep, talk to the Shepherd.
((From Dot Barr)

SCRIPTURE:
The Lord is my Shepherd. I shall not be in want.
Psalm 23:1

Or you could, "Count your blessings... name them one
by one." And then thank the Shepherd for them!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

March 24

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Every morning is a gift.
(Chicken Soup For The Soul)

SCRIPTURE:
His compassions never fail. They are new
every morning. Lamentations 3:22-23

Today, seize the gift and make the most of it!

Tuesday, March 23, 2010

March 23

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Put your troubles in a pocket with a hole in it.
(Old Postcard)

SCRIPTURE:
Do not let your heart be troubled. Trust in God;
trust in me also. John 14:1

My problem: Usually, when I put my troubles in
a pocket with a hole in it... I station a bucket under
the pocket! "Oh me of little faith!"

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

March 22

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
If wet, wobbly little lambs are loveable because they are
dependent and vulnerable, how much more loveable we
must be in the heart of God! That thought alone ought
to send us running to his open arms. And he isn't hard to
find. Just listen to his voice. Over and over he calls us.
(F. LaGard Smith-"Meeting God In Quiet Places.")

SCRIPTURE:
Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.
Hebrews 3:7

Are you listening?

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

Sunday, March 21, 2010

March 21

Greetings: God bless you this Lord's Day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Our responsibility to forgive has its significance in the very
heart of the gospel. Whatever horrible things have been done
to us, they are far less than the horror we have visited on God
and he is willing to forgive us. (Tony Ash-"Praying Always")

SCRIPTURE:
Jesus speaking, said, "For if you forgive men when they sin
against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you."
Matthew 6:14

If you notice, Jesus does not say , 'if' someone sins against you,
but 'when.' We all face times when someone has hurt us, betrayed
us or offended us. We need to let it go and give it to God!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

March 20

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Kindness is a godly trait, because it mirrors God's own
kindness to us.
(F. La Gard Smith-"Meeting Jesus In Quiet Places")

SCRIPTURE:
It was I who taught Ephraim to walk, taking them in my arms;
they did not realize it was I who healed them. I led then with
cords of kindness, with ties of love; I lifted the yolk from their
neck and bent down to feed them. Hosea 11:3-4

The above scripture give us an insight to God's tender care for
the children of Israel. He has that same tender care for us as well!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

March 19

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
John Pierpont died a failure in Washington D.C. in 1866.
He failed at school teaching. He failed as a lawyer. He
failed as a business man. He failed as a poet and he failed
in politics. He accomplished nothing he set out to do. Why
am I telling you this? We carry in our hearts a life long
memorial to him... A song. He wrote "Jingle Bells."
(Robert Fulghum)

SCRIPTURE:
Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him.
1 John 4:16

NEVER count yourself a failure. You have no idea whom you
may have influenced and how you may have changed a life!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

March 18

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Why ask if we do not believe we are heard? Why seek if
nothing is too be found? And why knock on the door of
an empty house? (Tony Ash-"Pray Always.")

SCRIPTURE:
I do believe, help my unbelief! Mark 9:24

Have you ever had your faith shaken by an unanswered prayer?
The man in the above scripture had asked Jesus' disciples to
cast out a demon from his son and they failed to do it. God does
not condemn honest questioning. Jesus healed the son.

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

March 17

Greetings: God bless you this day!
Today is an anniversary of sorts for me. The message below
was the first one I sent out on March 17, 2000. I have made
it a tradition to send out the same message each March 17.
Some of you have been receiving these messages since that
first one went out. I thank all of you for your faithful support!

Greetings: Happy Saint Patrick's Day to all of you. If you're
Irish and you're lucky, I'll let you in on a little secret, being
Irish has nothing to do with it. Your blessings come from God.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Experience is the hardest teacher. It gives the test first and
the lesson afterward. (Author Unknown)

SCRIPTURE:
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge
of the Holy One understanding. Proverbs 9:10

I believe that God will be pleased when we learn from both
the good and bad experiences.

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

March 16

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
God created each person unique, from his or her fingerprints
to hair follicles, he intends that each person be treated special.
And when we show healthy regard for the uniqueness of a
human personality, we reflect God's awesome nature.
(Lynn Anderson-"The Jesus Touch)

SCRIPTURE:
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Psalm 139:14

We need to remember when we look on the face of another,
we're looking on God's creation!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

Monday, March 15, 2010

March 15

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Whatever richness you have in your life comes from those
who have gone before you. (Roy Osborne)

SCRIPTURE:
These men and women were all commended for their faith,
yet none of them received what had been promised. God had
planned something better for us so that only together with
us would they be made perfect. Hebrews 11:39-40

Hebrews 11 has been called the "faith" chapter of the Bible, as
so many of the departed saints are mentioned. Today, think of
all those who have been instrumental in your faith walk... if
they are alive, thank them... if not, thank God for putting them
in your life!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

Sunday, March 14, 2010

March 14

Greetings God bless you this Lord's Day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
If being with God on Sunday doesn't make us better
at being with people on Monday, then we've missed
the point. (Lynn Anderson-"The Jesus Touch.")

SCRIPTURE:
Do you not know that you yourselves are God's temple
and that God's Spirit lives in you. 1 Corinthians 3:16

"The Church Building" is not where God lives and we
do not leave him there on Sunday. Monday, if he's not
with us... he was not with us on Sunday!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

Saturday, March 13, 2010

March 13

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Climbing up a rough path reminds me of tough experiences
we have in life, which are balanced by the occasional mountain
top experience. The less labored assent gives time for meditation
and resolve. We need to structure our lives and adjust our life-style
so that we have the occasion for spontaneous praise, thanksgiving,
worship and prayer. (Mary Ellen Grisham)

SCRIPTURE:
Therefore let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise.
Hebrews 13:15

In our busy lives, if we do not stop and experience the presence
of God... we miss a very important part of being his child!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

March 12

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Do not look at the physical appearances, they can be deceiving.
Do not look for riches, for they are only temporary. Look for
someone who makes you smile. Because sometimes it only takes
a smile to brighten up a dark day. Look for someone who makes
your heart sing. (From Joyce Bouse)

SCRIPTURE:
The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at
the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.
1 Samuel 16:7

Today, SMILE and make someone's heart sing!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

March 11

Greetings: God bless you this day!
Please pray for our grandson , Jeremy. He leaves for a medical
mission to Honduras today. And today is Jim's 86th birthday.
He is very sick with this respiratory junk that I've been
battling for the last two weeks.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
What separates us from God is sin. We aren't strong enough
to remove it and we aren't good enough to erase it. For all
our differences, there is one problem we share. we are all
separated from God. (Max Lucado "In The Grip of Grace.")

SCRIPTURE:
As it is written no one is righteous, not even one.
Romans 3:10

The cross is the bridge back to God through the blood of
Jesus Christ. We can never bridge that gap on our own

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

March 10

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Happiness comes from spiritual wealth, not material
wealth... Happiness comes from giving, not getting. If
we try hard to bring happiness to others, we cannot
stop it from coming to us also. To get joy, we must
give it, and to keep joy we must scatter it.
(John Templeton)

SCRIPTURE:
Some seed fell on good soil. where it produced a crop
a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.
Matthew 13:8

Scatter some seeds of joy today!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

March 9

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
None of us will pass this way again, What we see and feel
and say today are gone forever. We have so much to regret
when we let things slip away unnoticed and unappreciated.
(Hazelden Meditations)

SCRIPTURE:
Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift. 2 Corinthians 9:15

In the above scripture, Paul is speaking of the indescribable
gift of grace, but memory is another indescribable gift. In
memory, we can pass that way again. If the memory is good
it brings us joy, if it is not, it will bring us pain. Make good
memories today!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

March 8

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
We aren't good enough to judge. Can the hungry judge the
beggar? Can the sick mock the ill? Can the blind judge the
deaf? Can the sinner condemn the sinner? No. Only One
can judge. (Max Lucado-"In The Grip of Grace")

SCRIPTURE:
Do not judge, or you too will be judged. Matthew 7:1

I'm very happy to leave judgement to God, however I've been guilty
of drawing the wrong conclusions about others and at times feeling
very self-righteous. I thank God for his Grace!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

March 7

Greetings: God bless you this Lord's Day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
The one who kneels to the Lord can stand up to anything.
(From Elva Smithson)

SCRIPTURE:
Come let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before our
Lord and Maker. Psalm 95:6

The thought and scripture reminds me of words to an old
song. "Kneel at the cross... Christ will meet you there... come
while he waits for you. " Have you kneeled at the cross lately?

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

March 6

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
There are many ways to give to others and to give
back to God. Money often comes to mind; but the
gift of time often may be an even greater sacrifice.
No matter how you choose to give, you can be sure
God is pleased and will pour out his grace in return.

SCRIPTURE:
God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7

However you choose to give... do it cheerfully and thankfully.
God never overlooks sincerity!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

March 5

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Sudden obstacles, barriers in the way of our progress,
doors that unexpectedly close, may confuse us, frustrate
us. And we generally fight if, even after we've begun to
understand. Fortunately, the better path will keep
drawing us. (Hazelden Meditations)

SCRIPTURE:
There is a way that seems right to a man/woman, but in the
end it leads to death. Proverbs 14:12

We've heard it said, "God does not close a door, unless he
opens a window." We need to be sure that window was
opened by God! Sometimes finding our way... is to stand
still and let God lead us!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

March 4

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
You either control your attitude or it controls you.
(From Anita Poland)

SCRIPTURE:
Therefore, since Christ suffered in the body, arm
yourselves also with the same attitude.
1 Peter 4:1

Christ controlled his attitude, even on the cross, when
he said, "Father forgive them, for they do not know
what they are doing."

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

March 3

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Dwell on the fact that God lives within you. The realization
that God is dwelling within you may change the places you
want to go and the things you want to do today.
(Max Lucado-From Elva Smithson)

SCRIPTURE:
Do you not know that you yourselves are God's temple?
1 Corinthians 3:16

Be careful where you take his temple today!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

Tuesday, March 2, 2010

March 2

Greetings God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Journaling your worries to God is an effective way
for reducing stress. In a way, it's like writing a letter
to God and asking him to take care of things.
(Moments of Peace in the Presence of God)

SCRIPTURE:
Commit everything you do to the Lord; trust him to
help you do it and he will. Psalm 37:5 (TLB)

If the day is too busy for journaling, send up mini prayers,
several times a day. God is always anxious to hear from
his children, anyway they want to communicate!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

March 1

Greetings: God bless you this day!
Can you believe we're into the third month of the
new year! Time is racing on.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
"Hope" is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul-
And sings the tune without
And never stops-at all.
(Emily Dickinson)

SCRIPTURE:
God will cover you with his feathers and under his
wings you will find refuge. Psalm 91:4

Hope as feathers for the soul and feathers as our refuge,
are both good analogies on how God cares for us. Feathers
are soft, but strong and they're weather proof!
