September 30

Greetings: God bless you this Lord's Day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
God desires unity, but Satan wants believers fighting each other
so he can be free to deceive the world. Too often followers fall
prey to his tactics. Christians  can only demonstrate the reconciliation
they have with God through Christ, if they are reconciled to each other.
(Vantage Point Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
Have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart and a humble
mind. 1 Peter 3:8

If we're constantly pointing fingers at each other, we have no hand to offer
in fellowship to unbelievers... just where Satan wants us!

September 29

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
If nonbelievers see Christians treating each other poorly, what
are they learning about God? (Vantage Point Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
Let us do good by everyone, and especially those who are of
the household of faith. Galatians 6:10

Remember: today, as you go about your day, to whom you belong.
Your face may be the only face of God, those you meet, will ever see.

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

September 28

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
When you become a Christian, you also become part of a family.
You laugh, cry, work and support each other.
(Vantage Point Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
How good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity.
Psalm 133:1

If you're not experiencing the joy of being part of the family
of God, I urge you to become part of that family. I don't know
how people get by in this hectic, dangerous world, without the
support of brothers and sisters in Christ!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

September 27

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
So, what causes you to live in fear? What is it that produces
such anxiety that you have trouble falling to sleep at night?
Turn it over to the One who promised to watch over you.
(Christian Voices)

SCRIPTURE:
I sought the Lord and He heard me and delivered me from all
my fears. Psalm 34:4

Fear is kind of like hunger... it keeps coming back and if we
feed it, it will grow. Starve it with prayer!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

September 26

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
God is love. You cannot separate Him from love and He
works in our lives because He loves us. Many of us know
God is love, but how many of us live like we believe it?
(Daily Disciples Devotional)

SCRIPTURE
I have loved you with an everlasting love. Jeremiah 31:3

Everlasting-forever-eternal-for all time- always... All words to
describe how long God's love will last. We cannot think outside of
time. But keep reminding yourself that God loves you now- today and
He will be with you always!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

September 25

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
God has a plan for you. Jesus went to great lengths to help you believe,
for no other reason and for no personal profit, but because of His love for
you. He was crucified and you are cleansed. Today pray that God will
open the door for you to share with someone else the hope you have
found in Jesus. (Daily Disciples Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23

How you live your life is a greater testimony than what you say!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

September 24

Greetings:God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Today, pray that God will bring unity and peace in your family.
Discord in your home will sap your energy and resources and you
won't be fully engaged in the work God has called you to do. May
your house be a "tranquility base" from which great things are
accomplished for His Kingdom. (Vantage Point Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
Maintain the unity of the Spirit and the bond of peace. Ephesians 4:3

And may we find this same unity in the body of Christ. And may our
place of worship be a "tranquility base" for the week ahead of us!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

September 23

Greetings: God bless you this Lord's Day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
We can pray and read the Bible alone, but there's something about
being with other Christians that keep the fire burning within your soul
and gives you strength. This coming Sunday, join with other Christians
and exalt God. (Vantage Point Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
Let us exalt his name together. Psalm 34:3

God knew that we would need each other that's why He created the
"Church," the body of Christ. I do hope you plan to take advantage of
this great blessing today and meet with other Christians to exalt His Name!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

September 22

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
You cannot depend on others for your self-worth. It must
come from within-through God. (Emilie Barnes)

SCRIPTURE:
With this in mimd, we constantly pray for you, that our God may
count you worthy of his calling, and that his power may fulfill
every good purpose. 2 Thessalonians 1:11

We are made worthy by the blood of the LAMB!

September 21

Greetings:God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
We can't control the way our family responds to us. We have to move
beyond the naive expectations that if we do good, that our family will
treat us right. I can't assure you your family will ever give you the
blessing you seek, but I know this-God will. (Max Lucado)

SCRIPTURE:
Love covers over a multitude of sin. 1 Peter 4:8

Members of our family are human and make human mistakes
Love, forgiveness and understanding, play a large part in the
peace among family members!

September 20

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
We were not created to go alone, and in the desperate and difficult
struggle to turn America back to God, you need the help and
encouragement of Christian brothers and sisters. Today ask God to
bring into your life, those who will strengthen and safeguard you as
you work to make a positive difference.(Vantage Point Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
Two are better than one, they have a good return for their work.
Ecclesiastes 4:9

Perhaps more than any other time in this great nation's history, people
of faith need to band together and pray for the future of this country.
Join the many other believers with a one minute prayer, every evening
at 6PM Pacific time.

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

September 19

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Are you in a battle today over things in our mind? There are two things
you must incorporate into your daily routine. Open you Bible and read
at least one verse each morning. Pray that His words will bring you
comfort and hope. Give God control, instead of trying to handle it yourself.
(Daily Disciples Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
If any thing is excellent or praise worthy think about such things.
Philippians 4:8

Keeping in mind that you don't do these things just once, it is something
you need to repeat each day. We need to feed our soul as we feed our body.
When we do not eat our body becomes weak. Spiritual food will keep our
soul strong!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

September 18

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Scripture tells us that God never changes. His promises are sure and
He is with us always. We may not understand why things happen as
they do, but we know who holds the world in the palm of His hand.
We know that His plans are good. So the next time we find ourselves
in the midst of a storm or have unanswered questions, let's remember
God is in control. We can trust Him to help us, hold us and astound us!
(Pat Earl-Christian Voices)

SCRIPTURE:
And the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard
your hearts and minds in Jesus Christ. Philippians 4:7

In these troubles times when terror seems to reign in parts of the world,
we need to PRAY and remember that God is still in control!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

September 17

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
The more you study Scripture, the more you can be transformed
into Christ's likeness. Joy based on the security of your salvation
through the finished work of Jesus makes fellowship with other
believers an encouragement for the whole family of God.
(Vantage Point Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
Father, keep then in your name... that they may be one, even as we
are one. John 17:11

The Scripture, by itself,  does not transform us, but Jesus does and His
work is finished, but He's still working on me!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

September 16

Greetings: God bless you this Lord's day

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Let the Lord's influence in your life be a restrainer. If anger claws
at you in your relationships, take the time to pray.
(Vantage Point Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
Proverbs 15:1

If you're like me, you're not looking for soft answers when someone
throws angry words at you... so perhaps the wisest thing to do is just
walk away without answering.

September 15

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Ultimately, "things," can never really satisfy you. As soon as you have
acquired a certain possession, the novelty begins to wears off, and
you begin to yearn for something else. Start now to live a life where
God is the center. His love is the wealth you truly want.
(Moments of Peace in the Presence of God)

SCRIPTURE:
See the one who would not take refuge in God, but trusted in abundant
riches, and sought refuge in wealth. Psalm 52:7

Todays thought reminds me, that one Christmas I wanted a cuckoo clock for Christmas.
I found a box under the tree from my husband, with my name on it It was an oblong shaped
box, just right for a cuckoo clock. When I opened the box it was brown penny loafers. Imagine
my disappointment! But awhile later I lost my desire for a cuckoo clock and was thankful I
didn't have one to gather dust!

September 14

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Jesus saw something in Peter worth developing, in the adulterous woman
worth forgiving. He saw something in the thief on the cross worth saving.
And in the life of a wild-eyed, blood thirsty extremist, he saw the Apostle
of grace. He believed in Saul.
Don't give up on your Saul. When others write him off, give him another
chance. God is at work behind the scenes. And remember God never sends
you where He hasn't already been.
God used Saul who became Paul and touched the world.
(Max Lucado)

SCRIPTURE:
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23

And before I start making judgments... I need to examine my own life!

September 13

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
My Rock is more solid and everlasting than those that are slowly
disintegrating across the tundra. My Rock speaks, comforts and
holds my hand. My Rock carries me when my knees buckle and
cradles my head when I cry. My Rock hides me in the cleft and
sets me on a firm foundation. (Maria Lee Laycock-Christian Voices)

SCRIPTURE:
O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer. Psalm 19:14

What a blessings... to lean on this solid Rock and Redeemer!

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
9-11 was a reminder that the bonds of family, can be severed in an
instant. They are essential, crucial, valuable, fragile, (Peter Jennings)

SCRIPTURE:
To the One who remembered us in our low estate His love endures forever.
Psalm 136:23

The physical bonds can be severed in an instant, but the spiritual bonds cannot.
That's way God gave us the gift of memory. Even when those we love, leave us
physically, they never leave our memory!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
God's presence with us is one of His Greatest presents to us.
(Our Daily Bread)

SCRIPTURE:
I will never leave you of forsake you. Hebrews 13:5

So many stories of God's presence came out of the tragedy of 9-11
that make us aware of the great gift of his presence May we stand firm for
Him In times of tragedy as well as times of joy!

September 10

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
As Christians, we must learn to live in God's timeline. We must
surrender to His timing in all things. And we must be careful not
to think we have control over time, even our own.
(Author Unknown)

SCRIPTURE:
But beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day
is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
2 Peter 3:8

It is hard for us to comprehend the concept, that God lives outside our own
timeline. And when we say "Wait for God's timing," that 's just what we should
do, but in this day of instant everything, that's easier said than done!

September 9

Greetings: God bless you this Lord's Day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
We need to get in the habit of asking the Lord for wisdom,
knowledge and understanding. Asking for wisdom is a gift
as much as being a recipient of the wisdom that He gives.
(Daily Disciples Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
Do not be wise in your own eyes. Proverbs 3:7

Perhaps the above verse is the real beginning of wisdom?

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

September 8

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
The first person that Jesus reveled Himself as "The Christ," was
the Samaritan woman (John 4) and the first person Jesus revealed
Himself to after His death was Mary Magdalene. If you are seeking
Jesus, He  will reveal Himself to you. He shows no partiality or
favoritism. We are all the same. Today His promises stand. If you
search for Him, you will find Him. Whom are you seeking?
(Daily Disciples Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
(Jesus speaking) "Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?"
John 20:15

We have a choice... Seeking Him is the very best choice we can make!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

September 7

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
You need to know the heart of the pilot. That's why the story of
Jesus is in the Bible. He is the only picture of God ever taken. To
know Jesus is to know God. To know God is to know that this
flight gets bumpy, but the pilot? He knows how to get us home.
(Max Lucado)

SCRIPTURE:
(Jesus speaking) "Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father.
John 14:9

Today's thought reminds me of a story I once read. A man was on a very
bumpy flight that flew through a storm. Everyone on the plane was nervous
except one little girl. She calmly colored through the storm. At the airport,
after they landed, he asked her why she wasn't nervous and she answered,
"Why my daddy is the pilot and I knew he'd get us home!"

Greetings:God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
People are to respect one another. Certainly there are those who
don't earn it, but regardless, the fact that they were created by God
can be respected. (Vantage Point Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. Ephesians 5:21

Today's thought gives me something to think about and another thought:
I didn't earn Christ's respect either; He loved me while I was still a sinner
and continues to love me when I sin!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

September 5

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
We need to teach our children that Cinderella's problems and
challenges didn't end with the moment she slipped on the glass
slipper. We need to teach then that true adventures of life isn't
living "happily ever-after" but loving each other on matter what
may come our way. Only then will brief moments of happiness
be replaced by lasting days of joy.
     (Joseph J. Mazella-Christian Voices)

SCRIPTURE:
Teaching of the wise is the fountain of life. Proverbs 13:14

We also need to teach our children that becoming a Christian does not
eliminate problems, but gives us strength, through our Lord and the
Holy Spirit, to overcome them!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Ask the Lord to give you strength in times of trouble, peace in
times of struggle and hope when the world seems hopeless.
Only in Jesus can we stay in this world and experience heaven
on earth. (Daily Disciples Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
Your kingdom come your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Matthew 6:10

The Kingdom has come-eternity starts now, so no matter what our
circumstances, in that sense we can experience heaven on earth!

September 3

Greetings: God bless you this day!
Have a safe holiday. Be sure to fly your flag today.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
My dog wakes me up each morning, sometimes earlier than I like.
Now my dog does not have to be let out he has a doggie door. He
is not hungry or thirsty. He just wants to be with me. He wants to
be loved and petted for a few minutes until I'm fully awake and he
goes back to sleep. As I wake up, I know that the Lord wants me
up too. He's been thinking about me all night. He wants my attention
and love and He gives me so much more in return.
(Daily Disciples Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
How precious are your thoughts to me O God! Psalm 139:17

Just as your moments spent with your children are precious to you, the
moments you spend with God are precious to Him as well!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

September 2

Greetings: God bless you this Lord's Day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
The Lord desires to hear the deepest desires of our hearts. He is
not interested in performance designed to impress other listeners.
As you pray today, avoid wordiness and pray with earnestness
and expectation. (Vantage Point Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
Whatever you ask in prayer believe that you have received it, and
it will be yours. Mark 11:24

I think God loves simple, heartfelt prayers. As in the story of the two
men that went to the temple roof to pray. A Pharisee prayed a long prayer,
but the other man's prayer was short: "God have mercy on me, a sinner!"
Jesus said it was this man justified by God... so keep it simple!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

September 1

Greetings God bless you this day!
Can you believe it is September already!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Faith is meant to be active not passive. If we do not keep exercising our
faith, we get weak and can be tossed to and fro when the enemy strikes.
Get into the Word of God on a daily basis and ask God to increase your
faith. (Daily Disciples Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
Now faith is being sure of what you hope for and certain of what you do not
see. Hebrews 11:1

One of the ways to increase your faith... step out of your comfort zone and do
something that your not entirely sure of and that you have to rely on God...
I do this every day and it does increase my faith!

Know I prayed foe you today. Blessings-Freda
