November 30

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
If you do your best each moment
As you go along life's way,
Then you can help a weary pilgrim,
That has never learned to pray.
(Stamps-Baxter Music CO.)

SCRIPTURE:
Lord teach us to pray. Luke 11:1

Prayer should be as much a part of a Christian's life
as eating and sleeping!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

November 29

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
What delights you?
Maybe you find delight in the first snowfall, a baby's laugh, the
strains of a majestic symphony or a reassuring touch. But do you
rob yourself of the delights found in spending time in the word,
by over intellectualizing your relationship with the Father? Take
time today to dwell richly in a favorite passage of scripture.... let
yourself feel fed by it. (Vantage Point Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they
shall be filled. Matthew 5:6

During this Holiday Season, want to keep the calories off? Fill your
spirit with God's word... It's guaranteed to be calorie free!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

November 28

Greetings: God bless you this Lord's Day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Many of us try to help God along by coming up with our own
ideas about very best way God could answer our prayers, and
then expect him to follow our plan. Even worse, we pray and
then dismiss him entirely, as we take matters into our own
hands. (The Pocket Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer
and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God.
Philippians 4:6

Do you see yourself in the above thought? I certainly do!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

November 27

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
The age old riddler asked, "What goes on four legs in the morning,
on two legs at noon and on three legs in the evening?: The answer
of course is mankind... who crawls as an infant, walks upright most
of his life and needs the assist of a cane in old age. How is it with you?
has life been a perplexing riddle at times? Put your focus on the Lord
that knew you before were born and who has sustained you during
your life time. Let the hope he offers give you solace.
(Vantage Point Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
Upon you I have leaned from before my birth, you are he who took me
from my mother's womb. I will ever praise you. Psalm 71:6

I wonder what the pro-choice people do with scriptures like the one above?

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Amazing grace! How sweet the sound.
(John Newton)

SCRIPTURE:
The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you.
1 Corinthians 16:23

Are you tired of hearing about grace? I'm not,
for I need so much of it!

November 25

Greetings: God bless you this day!
Happy Thanksgiving May all of you be blessed the good food, health
love, happiness and a THANKFUL HEART!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
In celebrating the poetic beauty of all creation. Psalm 104
leads you to behold the glory of the heavens and revel in the
the majesty of God's wonders.
Only in this human life do you find two little distinctive words,
high-notes of praise that separate you from all nature. The words,
"I will." You alone have the God-given capacity called free-will to
respond to him with the song of life. Only you and I can choose to
bless the Lord with the decisions we make that will impact our
life, community and our country. (Vantage Point Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
I will sing to the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to my
God while I have being. Psalm 104:33

And out of all creation, only humans have the capacity to speak
words of thanksgiving to our creator. On this Thanksgiving Day
tell God how thankful you are for the blessings he has showered
upon you!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

November 23

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Some people, no matter how old they get, never lose their
beauty-they merely move it from their faces to their hearts.
(From Carolyn Hicks)

SCRIPTURE:
Charm is deceptive and beauty fleeting, but a woman who fears
the Lord is to be praised Proverbs 31:30

Regardless of age, a beautiful heart will reflect on the face and
make it beautiful too!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Keeping prejudice out of your life requires a conscious effort,
but it's worth it in the long run. (Edna Pendergrass)

SCRIPTURE:
Show proper respect to everyone. 1 Peter 2:17

Everyone means everyone! I have a tendency to pick and choose.

Know I prayed for you today. Blessing-Freda

November 22

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
An artist painted a picture of an ocean in a violent storm.
The sky was black, lightening flashed, and waves crashed
onto the wall of a cliff. But in the middle of the scene the
artist painted a small bird, safe and dry, snuggled safely
in a rock. It had found refuge from the tempest.
What a beautiful picture of God's children when the storms
of life roar about us. Like the little bird, God has promised
that He will deliver and protect those who hold fast to Him
in love. (Vantage Point Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him. I will
protect him, because he knows my name. Psalm 91:14

I would love to view the artist painting. It is a beautiful image
of God's protection during the storms of life!

November 21

Greetings: God bless you this Lord's Day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Atonement: It means what it says: at-one-ment. There is
nothing about crime and punishment in the make-up of
that word. It simply means to be one with God.
(Madeleine L'Engle)

SCRIPTURE:
Through Christ we have gained access by faith into this
grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope
of the glory of God. Romans 5:2

Atonement is like justified. Through the blood of Christ, we
have been justified-just-as-if-we-had-not-done-it!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

November 20

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
We are raised high in God's sight through his grace... for
our courteous God does not wish his children to lose hope
even if they fall frequently, failure does not prevent him
from loving us. (Julian of Norwich)

SCRIPTURE:
Yet he was merciful; he forgave their iniquities and did not destroy
them. Time after time he restrained his anger and did not stir up
his full wrath. Psalm 78:38

The above thought and scripture gives us some insight to God's
patience, mercy and grace and should give us hope to keep on
keeping on!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

November 19

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
You are likely accustomed to constant change and disappointment.
Cars break, politicians disappoint, relationships flounder. But in
the world of flux and tumult, God's righteousness is steadfast,
immovable, unchangeable... like a mountain. The great preacher,
Charles Spurgeon, noted that the Lord's "strong love stands like a
granite rock, unmoved, by hurricanes of our iniquity. He loves as
much now as he did then, and when the sun shall cease to to shine,
he will still love on." (Vantage Point Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
Your righteousness is like the mountains of God; your judgments are
like the deep. Psalm 36:6

Things break down, dreams shatter, people betray people, but through
each and every circumstance in life, one thing remains unchanged... God!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Use your technology wisely, stay connected not distracted.
Live your life, share your love, nourish your soul, and make
the world a better place online and off. (Joseph J. Mozzella)

SCRIPTURE:
I teach you today, giving you true and reliable words, so that
you can give sound answers. Proverbs 22: 19-20-21 (paraphrased)

With the technology we have today, with the touch of a button, we
can contact people around the world, but fail to stay connected with
those of our own household!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

November 17

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
When day is done and you lie down to sleep, do you
rest serenely? Do the experiences of the day pass
through your mind, or the unknowns of tomorrow
cause you distress? The absence of strife (peace) is
found only through the presence of God. Your difficult
circumstances, dangers you encounter, or illnesses may
not go away. But you can have confidence in God, put your
trust in Him. Let your inner turmoil be quieted, then close
your eyes and enjoy the sweet sleep only God can give.
(Vantage Point Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O God, make
me dwell in safety. Psalm 4:8

And... try counting your blessings instead of sheep!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

November 16

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Anyone who says something is foolproof hasn't met
a determined fool. (From Heart to Heart)

SCRIPTURE:
Of what use is money in the hands of a fool, since he has
no desire for wisdom. Proverbs 17:16

Doesn't the above thought and scripture describe the money
fix this nation is in and those who lead us?

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

November 15

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Chances are you have stood on the banks of an angry river
after a heavy rainstorm, and have been struck by the sheer
power of its turbulent waters. You watched the boiling current
rage against a large boulder lodged firmly in the river's path,
amazed that the rock is able to resist the powerful flood when
hugh trees are uprooted and swept away.
Our God is like that rock, as the days become more evil and the
unsettling events may well come against us like the raging river.
But when they do, we need to remember to swim for the Rock of
Salvation, for He alone is able to deliver us.
(Vantage Point Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
My Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, My God,
my rock, in whom I take refuge. Psalm 18:2

The next time you're overwhelmed, swim for it... the ROCK that is!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

November 14

Greetings: God bless you this Lord's Day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
We can believe what we choose. We are answerable
to what we choose to believe. (Cardinal Newman)

SCRIPTURE:
In the name of Jesus, every knee should bow in
heaven and earth and under the earth and every
tongue confess Jesus is Lord. Philippians 2:10-11

God gives us a free choice, but also holds us accountable
for what we choose!

November 13

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
How important it is to be true to ourselves, for what we are
feeling inside has a way of showing on our faces.
(Edna Pendergrass)

SCRIPTURE:
But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts,
do not boast about it or deny the truth. James 3:14

Have you ever noticed that a really bitter person wears his or her
bitterness in their expression?

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

November 12

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Picture your life as a field. As you wisely examine what you
see, is your heart full prepared, as you seek the Lord each day?
Or are there still some stones of pride, weeds of poor attitudes
or rubble from an unforgiving spirit? To reap the promised harvest
of God's unfailing love, it might be necessary to first clear the field.
(Vantage Point Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
Sow for yourselves righteousness, reap the fruit of unfailing love
and break your unplowed ground, for it is time to seek the Lord.
Hosea 10:12

Isn't it always easier to see the stones, weeds and rubble in our
neighbor's field? But that's not what we're called to do. I need to
keep my own field clean!

Greetings: God bless you this day!
Please fly your flag today and thank a Veteran or
a man or woman in the Military for the freedom we enjoy!
Today I will digress from my usual format to pay tribute to
all our veterans:
FORGOTTEN HEROES
They return from every war
Thanking God to be alive.
They meld in to society,
Feeling blessed to have survived.

Some, with daily nightmares
And memories hard to bear,
Some, with physical reminders,
Of limbs no longer there.

Some, have great hopes for the future,
Discover jobs hard to find
And feel that this country
Is neither loyal or kind.

Some of them return,
To be confined to a bed or a chair
And never have a visitor
To offer thanks or a word of cheer.

They are the forgotten heroes,
Who answered this nation's call,
Our brave, American Veterans...
Who were willing to give their all.
Freda Fullerton

Pray for our military!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Like A Pencil:
We need to be constantly sharpened.
Like A Pencil:
Always remember that the most important part of who
you are is what's inside you.
Like A pencil:
To be the best, we must always be guided by the HAND that
holds us! (From Carolyn Hicks)

SCRIPTURE:
My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me. Psalm 63:8

Let God's hand uphold you today!

November 9

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
God's steadfast love is as boundless as the universe, His
mercy endless, and the riches of His grace limitless. The
Lord's forgiveness is immeasurable, His loving-kindness
unsearchable, and His faithfulness knows no end. The depth
of His wisdom is bottomless, His knowledge incalculable, and
His all-encompassing presence absolute. Get the picture? Your
God is infinite in innumerable ways, truly from everlasting to
everlasting. (Vantage Point Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
For your steadfast love is great above the heavens; your faithfulness
reaches the clouds. Psalm 108:4

There's nothing left for me to say, except, "My God is an Awesome God!"

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

November 8

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
A message from a father to his daughter:
I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright,
no matter how gray the day may be.
I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun even more.
I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive
and everlasting.
I wish you enough pain so that the smallest of joys in your
life may appear bigger.
I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.
I wish you enough loss to appreciate all you possess.
I wish you enough hellos to get through the final good-bye.
(From Judy Seda-Ruiz)

SCRIPTURE:
My son, keep my words and store up my commands within
you. Proverbs 7:1

This father was saying his final good-by to his daughter. What
message would you and I have for our children-grandchildren,
if we knew our next good-bye would be the final goodbye?

November 7

Greetings: God bless you this Lord's Day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
A new Christian shared her testimony at a Bible study.
"I went to retreats, read Christian books, listened to
Christian tapes, but I didn't find the help I needed. Then
one day while praying, I realized I wouldn't find the answers
in retreats, books and tapes, as good as they were. My answer
is Jesus Christ."
What are you facing today? Don't take refuge in things of men,
as good as they might seem. Your sanctuary is the Lord... and
Him alone. (Vantage Point Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man
Psalm 118:8

There is an old song that says, "Where can I go but to the Lord?"
How true are those words!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

November 6

Greetings: God bless you this day!
Today is the last of the series ("The Courage To Fail" ) I hope it
has been beneficial to you.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
The Courage To Fail:
Someone has said: "To avoid criticism, say nothing, do nothing and
be nothing." But that is advice, we cannot afford to take in the Lord's
service. (Bobby Dockery)

SCRIPTURE:
Therefore my dear brothers, stand firm, let nothing move you.
Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord.
1 Corinthians 15:58

And be courageous enough and be humble enough, to be
willing to fail for God!!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

November 5

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
The Courage To Fail:
Mistakes are not as deadly as stagnation. There is no
mistake so great as doing nothing. (Bobby Dockery)

SCRIPTURE:
(A parable of Jesus)
The servant said, "I have kept you mina laid away in a piece of
cloth. I was afraid of you, because you are a hard man." The man
answered, "Why didn't you put my money on deposit, so I could
collect the interest? Take his mina away and give it to the man
who has ten!" Luke 19:20 and 23-24

Jesus was harder on those who did nothing, than on the bumbling
mistakes of those who tried!

November 4

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
The Courage To Fail:
Mistakes are not necessary fatal. In fact, they may
become stepping stones to success. (Bobby Dockery)

SCRIPTURE:
Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way
will save a him from death and cover a multitude
of sins. James 4:20

If mistakes were fatal, there would not be Hebrews
chapter-11 "the faith chapter." Abraham lied so did
Isaac. Moses disobeyed God. God found Gideon,
fearfully hiding. Samson was a womanizer. Barak
was a coward. David was an adulterer, yet they all
overcame their mistakes to be called faithful!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

November 3

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
The Courage To Fail:
Mistakes are inevitable. That is as true of churches as it is of
ballplayers. (Bobby Dockery)

SCRIPTURE:
Barnabas wanted to take Mark with them, but Paul did not think
it wise to take him, because he had deserted then in Pamphyllia.
They had such a sharp disagreement they they parted company.
Barnabas took Mark and Paul choose Silas. Acts 15:38-39

The Bible is filled with the mistakes of God's doers, who picked
themselves up and brushed themselves off and continued to serve.
As in the case of Mark, later Paul wrote to Timothy. "Bring Mark
with you, for he is helpful to my ministry". 2 Timothy 4:11

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
The Courage To Fail:
The doers make mistakes, and I want doers on my team. Players
make things happen.(John Wooden-From Bobby Dockery)

SCRIPTURE:
Jesus speaking, said, "Not everyone that says to me Lord, Lord. will
enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my
Father who is in heaven." Matthew 7:21

We need the courage to step out of our comfort zone!

November 1

Greetings God bless you this day!
Today as we begin a new month. I want to present a
a series of thoughts, by Bobby Dockery.
"The Courage to Fail."

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
From Coach Wooden:
The team that makes the most mistakes will probably win.

SCRIPTURE:
Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,
I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has
called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:14

We won't win every battle in life... The important thing is to win
the war!
