December 31

Greetings: God bless you with a happy and safe New Year's Eve!
Today is a repeat of last year, but I think worth repeating:

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
When tomorrow comes, this day (and this year) will be gone forever,
leaving in its place, that I have traded for it: I want it to be gain-not
loss, good-not evil, success-not failure, in order that I shall not forget
the price I paid for it. (Author Unknown)

SCRIPTURE:
Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may
bring forth. Proverbs 27:1

We should be careful of the resolutions we make today!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

December 30

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Are you fun to live with? We had a friend that believed God
wanted all of us to be fun to live with. And we believe the key
is caring enough to really talk to each other about our deepest
needs and feelings. Learning to do this, even a little, has put
life into our living and loving as a family.
(Harriet & Floyd Thatcher)

SCRIPTURE:
A wise man's heart guides his mouth and his lips promote
instruction. Proverbs 16:23

Technology has made it possible for us to just touch a button
and communicate around the world, but sadly that same
technology with texing, facebook and computer games, we
fail to communicate with those in our own house!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
God's grace is evident in creation and it is God's gift to
help us through difficult times that life often brings. God's
grace is the visible evidence of his everlasting love. Even
when it appears that sorrow and grief threatens our joy,
God offers his grace to us and we experience the hope of
his promise. (Moments of Peace in the Presence of God)

SCRIPTURE:
Your lips have been anointed with grace, since God has
blessed you forever. Psalm 45:2

Today, if you are having trouble experiencing God's grace,
take a walk around your neighborhood and look for ways
that the creation speaks of his grace!

Luke 6:36

Who of us have not failed one time or another.

December 20

Greetings God bless you this Lord's Day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
How are you at taking orders? Today's scripture is a string
of imperatives: Be Joyful, pray, give thanks. Great, How do
you do you do that? You may be tempted to ask. When you're
swept up in the demands of life, it can be difficult to remember
these divine "marching orders"given by the Apostle Paul. To be
joyful, add continual prayer and constant gratitude. Your
results will be a great spiritual delight, no matter your
circumstances. (Meagen Gillan)

SCRIPTURE:
Be joyful always: Pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances;
for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

December 17

Greetings: God bless you this day!
Thanks for all your prayers and those of you who braved the
hospital mask and the high charge parking to be with me during
Jim's surgery. The surgery went well. He had it at 5:PM and we
brought him home at 7:30, however, he couldn't urinate, so at
3 this morning we took him back and they inserted a catheter.
He is experiencing some discomfort from that, but has had no
pain from the surgery.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
The 10 commandments are not multiple choice.
(From Carolyn Hicks)

SCRIPTURE:
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all
your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and
greatest commandment. Matthew 22:37

I think the reason Jesus named this commandment the first and
greatest... if we follow this command, the rest will fall into place!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

December 16

Greetings: God bless you this day!
Please keep Jim in your prayers. He is scheduled for gallbladder surgery
at 5:PM this afternoon and he has been battling a cold for the last week or
so. Pray the surgery goes as scheduled.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
You are constantly bombarded with the message that you should want more,
have more. Doing so will bring you happiness. You are encouraged to acquire
a bigger house and a finer car. Urged to use your credit cards as you fill your
house and life with purchases you often neither need or want. Start now
to live a life in which God is center. His love is the wealth you truly want
and only in him will you find peace.(Moments of Peace in the Presence of God)

SCRIPTURE:
They that trust in their wealth and boast themselves in the multitude of their
riches, none of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a
ransom for him. Psalm 46:6-7 (KJV)

The only riches that are lasting are those found in Christ.

forfeits his soul? Matthew 16:26

December 13

Greetings: God bless you this Lord's Day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Not every day do we want the responsibility for our lives;
but we have it. On occasion we want only the loving arms
of a caretaker. The beauty of our lives at this time is that
we do have a caretaker at our beck and call. A caretaker
who has demonstrated repeatedly a concern for our safety,
a caretaker who will help shoulder every responsibility we
face. (Hazelden Meditations)

SCRIPTURE:
He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs
in his arms and carries them close to his heart. Isaiah 40:11

The above scripture is a beautiful picture of a loving caretaker!

December 9

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Weakness and confidence just doesn't seem to go together.
We're attracted to brave heroes, not wimpy characters, with
faults and flaws. Think of little David and Goliath. God loves
our weakness, for that's where he shows his strength. If you
feel feeble or faint, admit it to him, so he can empower you.
(Megan Gillan)

SCRIPTURE:
For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Corinthians 12:10

Our weakness should never be used as excuses!

December 8

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Why does God wait until sickness has lingered? Why
does he choose to wait until the other side of the grave
to answer prayers? I don't know. I only know his timing
is right. I can say he will do what is best. Though you hear
nothing, he is speaking. Though you see nothing, he is acting.
(Max Lucado-From Elva Smithson)

SCRIPTURE:
God will always give what is right for his people who cry to him
night and day. And he will not be slow to answer them.
Luke 18:7 (NCV)

we think we know best... Remember: God does know best!

God's greatness and majesty are evidenced everywhere,

SCRIPTURE:
The heavens declare the glory of God, the skies proclaim the
work of his hands Psalm 19:1

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
The wonderful thing about our God is that his commands
are always accompanied with his help! God even assists us
with our, "want to be." In Philippians 2, we're reminded
that God works in us enabling us, "to will" and act according

leading to obey and to give you what you need, whether
wisdom or desire. (Megan Gillan)

Forgotten Heros

Memorial Day we honor the Fallen Heroes.
Today, Veteran's Day, we honor the Forgotten Heroes.

FORGOTTEN HEROES
They return from every war
Thanking God to be alive.
They meld into society,
Feeling blessed to have survived.

Some, with daily nightmares
And memories hard to bear,
Some, with physical reminders,
Of limbs no longer there.

Some, with great hopes for the future,
Discover jobs are hard to find
And feel that this country
Is neither loyal or kind.

Some of them return,
To be confined to bed or chair
And never have a visitor
To offer comfort or a word of cheer.

They are the forgotten heroes,
Who answered this nation's call,
Our brave, American Veterans...
Who are willing to give their all.
Freda Fullerton, 11-11-2009

November 11

Greetings: God bless you this day!
Please fly your flag today and pray for those in the Military.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
God wanted your heart to feel, not hide. He never intended
your heart to be broken by wars and violence or pain and
sorrow. If you've locked your heart, open the door. God
made you a person of tears too, and remember: He cries
with you. (Touched by an Angel)

SCRIPTURE:
Those who sow in tears will reap songs of joy.
Psalm 126:5

Our tears are essentially, a tenderizer for the heart, and
a cleanser for the soul!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

November 10

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
When Jesus saw Judas among the multitude that came to arrest
him, he looked at Judas and called him friend. What he saw in
Judas as worthy of being called friend, I can't imagine. But I know
that Jesus doesn't lie and in that moment he saw something good
in a very bad man. (Max Lucado-From Elva Smithson)

SCRIPTURE:
Wish good for those who harm you, wish them well and do not
curse them. Romans 12:14 (NCV)

Only one man was all good... there is a little of both the good
and the bad in the rest of us. Today, seek the good in those you
meet!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

November 9

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
We are each of us angels with only one wing, and we
can fly only by embracing each other.
(Luciano de Crescenzo)

SCRIPTURE:
Be kind and compassionate to one another.
Ephesians 4:32

So... come fly with me, today, embrace another one winged angel!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

November 8

Greetings: God bless you this Lord's Day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
There is no traffic jam when going that extra mile.
(Reminisce Magazine)

SCRIPTURE:
If someone forces you to go a mile, go with him two
miles. Matthew 5:41

Turn the other cheek... go the extra mile, is not in today's
vocabulary. The world thinks politeness equates weakness!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

November 7

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
The lame, blind, deaf and the lepers where all shunned
by the culture. They had no place. No name. No value.
But those whom the people called trash, Jesus called
treasures. (Max Lucado-From Elva Smithson)

SCRIPTURE:
The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have
leprosy are cured and the deaf hear. Matthew 11:5

The word's trash is Jesus' treasure. His ministry was in
the back-streets and ally's of the poor!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

November 6

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Things don't just happen. Those things we call "accidents," or
"surprises," or "discoveries" are actually revelations of God's
love and constant concern for you. If you keep your faith and
trust in God, the meaning of these things will become clear. If
you greet each new day and expect it to reveal the glory and
power and love of God, your day will be filled with awe.
(Moments of Peace in the Presence of God)

SCRIPTURE:
Whoever is wise, let him heed these things and consider the
great love of the Lord. Psalm 107:43

We bought our son a bike for his 10th birthday. I put a note in a gift
box that read, "Your surprise is in the garage." He dashed out to the
garage, looked all around and failed to see the bike. Our surprise fell
flat! I think God must feel the same way when we fail to see the gifts
he prepares for us.

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

November 5

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Lord, remind me when I am reluctant and afraid that I can't
be a loser as long as I'm a try-er. (B.J. Conner)

SCRIPTURE:
Be doers of the word, and not hearers only. James 1:22

It is no sin to be afraid of failing. The sin is not being a try-er,
in spite of the fear!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

November 4

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
The sunset is one of God's magnificent wonders-a celestial
changing of the guard. Do you view sunsets of your life in the
same way you do sunrises? Endings can be as beautiful as
beginnings, if we allow God to open our eyes to understanding.
When we realize the miracle of sunsets, we will no longer cling
to the remains of the day.
(Moments of Peace in the Presence of God)

SCRIPTURE:
I will praise the Lord, who counsels me; even at night my heart
instructs me. Because he is at my right hand I will not be
shaken. Psalm 16:7-8

When we come to the sunset of our lives... we can be confident
that God will be there waiting at the sunrise!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

November 3

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Feeling inferior can become a habit. We sometimes grow up
believing that we're not smart enough, not pretty enough,
not capable enough. We sometimes grow up too distant
from our real source of strength. (Hazelden Meditations)

SCRIPTURE:
The Lord is my strength and my shield. Psalm 28:7

If we really believe we're made in the likeness of God, that should
take care of our feeling inferior!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

November 2

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
David anguished before the Lord, often without visible
evidence that God was working behind the scenes on
his behalf. But the greatest battles between heaven and
earth are often unseen! (Barb Kugle)

SCRIPTURE:
Evening, morning and noon I cry out in distress and he
hears my voice. Psalm 55:17

And he will hear us as well!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

November 1

Greetings: God bless you this day!
Where has the time gone? Welcome to a November.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
One does not grow old... one grows old not growing.
(Reminisce Magazine)

SCRIPTURE:
Bear fruit in every work, growing in the knowledge of God.
Colossians 1:10

Formula for staying young: Learn something new each day!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

October 31

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
If you don't have bad days, you won't recognize good days.
(Reminisce Magazine)

SCRIPTURE:
When times are good, be happy: when times are bad Consider:
God made the one as well as the other. Ecclestiastes 7:14

Since this is not paradise, in each day, we will find a little of both!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

October 30

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Like a robin, you are God's creation. Unlike the robin, however,
you have been given a greater gift, You have been given a will.
When you lift your voice to sing to God, it is because you choose
to do so. Your songs of praise delight the heart of God. Your songs
bring comfort, solace and refreshment to your own life as well,
strengthening you in difficult times.
(Moments of Peace in the Presence of God)

SCRIPTURE:
Through each night I sing his songs, praying to God who gives me life.
Psalm 42:8 (NLT)

Remember: God is not a music critic. He doesn't expect a performance,
he expects our heart-felt praise!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
It's what the weather is in your mind that determines the
climate of the day. (Author Unknown))

SCRIPTURE:
He that is of merry heart hath a continual feast.
Proverbs 15:15 (KJV)

The happiest people are those who have inside climate control!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

October 28

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Wouldn't it be nice if love was like a cafeteria line? What if
parents could do this with kids? I'll take a plate of good grades
and cute smiles, and I'll pass on teenage identity crisis and tuition
bills. And with the spouse... how about a bowl of good health, good
moods, no job transfers. It would be painless and peaceful. But it
wouldn't be love. Love doesn't accept just a few things. Love is
willing to accept all things. (Max Lucado-From Elva Smithson)

SCRIPTURE:
Love... bears all things, hopes all things endures all things.
1 Corinthians 13: 4 & 7 (NKJV)

Love means taking a risk. Those who risk less, love less and
miss out on so many blessings!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

October 27

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
The story of Abraham and Sarah illustrates the futility of trying
to make a divine promise come about in our own time. Tired of
waiting, for a son, Sarah took matters in her own hands. The
result was disastrous. God's time-table always delivers an Isaac
when the time is right. (Moments of Peace in the Presence of God)

SCRIPTURE:
Truly my soul silently waits for God, from him comes my salvation.
Psalm 62:1 (NKJV)

Waiting for God's answer is difficult, to those who wait! And the answer
is not always what we want, but we need to trust him, that it is what is
best!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Dancing with God:
My eyes drew to the word Guidance, When I saw "G," I thought
of God followed by 'u' and "i." God, "u" and "i" "dance." Dance
together with God, trusting him to lead and guide you through
each season of life. (Author Unknown-From Phyllis Leonard)

SCRIPTURE:
Let Israel rejoice in their Maker. Let them praise his name
with dancing. Psalm 149:2-3

When you dance with God... be sure you let him lead!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

October 25

Greetings: God bless you this Lord's Day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
What we have done for ourselves alone, dies with us. What
we do for others and the world remains immortal.
(Albert Pine)

SCRIPTURE:
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at a proper time we
will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9

The deposits that we make at the local bank, stays there when
we die. The deposits we make in the lives of others, goes with us!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Stop complaining! Differentiate yourself from the
competition. Don't be a duck. Be an eagle. Ducks
quack and complain. Eagles soar above the crowd.
(Wayne Dyer-From Dot Barr)

SCRIPTURE:
Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles. Isaiah 40:31

So... what will you be today... a duck or an eagle?

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

October 23

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Distress, discouragement, depression-are  all words that
begin with the letter "d." Jonah must have felt all of these
emotions when trapped in the belly of a fish. Similarly, it's
easy for us to feel engulfed and despondent given the state
of the world, overflowing with violence, hatred, and
corruption. Nineveh was no different, yet God sent
Jonah to such a place to share the gospel.
(Harriet Al-Najiar)

SCRIPTURE:
He said, "In distress I called to the Lord and he answered
me." Jonah 2:2

God does not want us to with-draw unto ourselves... He wants
the same from us as he wanted from Jonah... He wants us to be
a light in a world of darkness!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
I know if I succeed in life
Or fail as I may do,
God will be there to show and lead
And help me start anew.
(Harold F. Mohn)

His compassion never fail. They are new every
morning. Lamentations 3:22-23

So... if today seems  to be a failure, just remember:
Tomorrow is another day and another chance!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

October 21

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
It is easy to forget to be grateful, to let daily worries distract
you from the abundance that is yours. Mortgage payments,
troublesome children, a broken water heater can interfere
with your appreciation for the blessings you have been given.
Inconveniences will pass, but God's blessings and love will
keep showering down on you.
(Moments of Peace in the Presence of God)

SCRIPTURE:
Blessed are those who dwell in your house, they are ever
praising you. Psalm 84:4

It is easy to praise God when everything is going well, but the
real test is to be able to praise him when everything is going
wrong!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

October 20

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
The Lord of heaven became the servant of earth. God lowered
himself, so that man may be elevated. He left heaven, so that
man may enter it. To man who cannot begin to understand the
way of God, it is a great mystery. But what a marvelous and
wonderful mystery. (LaGard Smith)

SCRIPTURE:
Beyond all question, the mystery of Godliness is great.
1 Timothy 3:16

God did not command we understand him. He just wants us to
trust him!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

October 19

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Have you ever felt like your life has taken a wrong turn?
Like missing an exit on the highway, it's good to have a
friend to remind you, "Just get out the map and find plan
B." You may need to get out the map of God's word and
reorient yourself. (Author Unknown)

SCRIPTURE:
Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget my words or
swerve from them. Proverbs 4:5

I don't think God has a plan B. If you feel you've lost your
way... read the map. God has only one plan and it will put
you back on track!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

October 18

Greetings: God bless you this Lord's Day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
God is the author of hope, and he will never leave your side
as you walk through the dark, confusing, lonely and painful
places in your life. He will replace your clouds of despair
with the brilliant, penetrating light of his everlasting love.
(Moments of Peace in the Presence of God))

SCRIPTURE:
But now, Lord, what do I look for? My hope is in you.
Psalm 39:7

God knew we would need visual support, or as one small
child remarked, "Someone with skin on," so he gave us
each other. Be God's ears, hands and feet today and
reach out to those around you!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

October 17

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Gray skies are just clouds passing over.
(Duke Ellington)

SCRIPTURE:
The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold
in times of trouble. Psalm 9:9

If there are gray skies on the horizon of your life... tell
yourself, "this too shall pass!"

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

October 16

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Nothing can be louder or more intimidating than
silence when waiting for an answer to your prayers.
In the night time of the soul, God's silence thunders
down at you, rattling your confidence and leaving
you wondering if God has abandoned you. At the
times of God's silence, you must place your hope
in two mighty truths: the truth of his sovereignty
and the truth of his faithfulness.
(Moments of Peace in the Presence of God)

SCRIPTURE:
Praise God, who did not ignore my prayer or hold
back his love from me. Psalm 66:20 (NCV)

Another truth to remember: God's wisdom is greater
than ours!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

October 15

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
I think happiness is like the effect on an audience (when acting),
if you think of it all the time you will not get it. You must get
lost in the part, lost in your purpose and let the effect be the
criterion of your success. (Joanna Field)

SCRIPTURE:
To the man who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge
and happiness. Ecclesiastes 2:26

A Reminder:
If we seek happiness, it will elude us, if we seek to make others
happy, it will come to us as well!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

october 14

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
When you are tempted to question your worth-or see yourself
as ugly, you must remember that you are a treasured piece of
God's handiwork. You are an expression of the same creative
force that placed the stars in the sky and raised dry land in the
midst of the sea. It is in the hand of the Artist that you have
reason to hope. (Moments of Peace in the Presence of God)

SCRIPTURE:
My frame was hidden from you when I was made in the secret
place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,
your eyes saw my unformed body. Psalm 139:15-16

God sees the unformed talent that he has place in each of us.
We must rely on him to help us develop that talent!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

October 13

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
God is as creative as he is relentless. The same hand that
set the children of Israel free, also sent them captive to
Babylon. Both kind an stern, tender and tough. Faithfully
firm. Patiently urgent. Eagerly tolerant. Softly shouting.
Gently thundering. (Max Lucado-From Elva Smithson)

SCRIPTURE:
When you were in trouble, you called and I saved you. I
answered you with thunder. Psalm 81:7

God sometimes has to thunder and rain on us to get our
attention!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

October 12

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
It is so easy to wish our lives away, never finding satisfaction
with our families, our jobs, our friends. The more fault we look
for, the more we're guaranteed to find. Negative attitudes attract
negative experiences, while positive attitudes lighten whatever
burden we may be learning from. (Hazelden Meditations)

SCRIPTURE:
Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.
Psalm 105:4

Today, accentuate the positive: Look for small blessings...a bird's
song-a catchy tune-a hug-a phone call-an uplifting email. Small
blessings are endless, if you look for them!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

October 11

Greetings: God bless you this Lord's Day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Enemies or friends... every person is your teacher.
(Florence Scowl Shinn)

SCRIPTURE:
Stand firm and hold to the teaching we passed on to you.
2 Thessalonians 2:15

We can learn something from everyone: We learn loyalty from
our friends, but it is through our enemies that we learn forgive.

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

October 10

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
A Grandfather's Perspective:
A week ago today I met my grandson for the first time.
He didn't even acknowledge my existence. I loved him
anyway. I asked him to open his eyes and he ignored me.
I loved him anyway. I asked him what he was thinking and
he didn't even look at me or speak to me. I loved him anyway.
The world he just came from was not very instructive or
demanding on relational skills.
I love him because he is precious to me and not because he meets
my needs. He will always be precious, but a higher level of being
human means that he will become more responsive and we will
have a relationship. Should he stay unresponsive, I will still hold
him precious, but I will be disappointed that he cannot attain
that fuller humanity that relates to my humanity.
God loves us, no question. But when we ignore him, we miss out on the
relationship and the whole new revelation that is the life of the Spirit.
It is the beginning of our experience of the nature of God and unlike
physical birth, we have to volunteer for it. God gives us the right to
say no to him, but saying no is more tragic than a newborn who
cannot grow or a child who will not mature.
(Norm Seiders- Warwick Church of Christ)

SCRIPTURE:
This is love: not that we loved God, but he loved us and sent his Son as
atoning sacrifice for our sins. 1 John 4:10

I love Norm's comparison in his love for his new grandson and God's
love for us!

October 9

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
You might have to fight a battle more than once to win it.
(Margaret Thatcher)

SCRIPTURE:
Put on the full armor of God so that you can take a stand
against the devil's schemes. Ephesians 6:11

Paul says... it's an ongoing battle. But take heart, God has won
the war and if we're on his team, the victory is ours as well!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

October 8

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Life is a gift we are granted moment by moment, let us be in
awe and wonder of it. We can marvel at creation and realize
how special we are to be participants.
 (Hazelden Meditations)

SCRIPTURE:
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made, your
works are wonderful I know full well. Psalm 139:4

Your life is a gift from God... be sure to make it a gift back to him!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

October 7

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
You have one. A divine spark, an uncommon call
to an uncommon life. Don't worry about skills you
don't have. Don't covet strengths others do have,
just extract your uniqueness.
(Max Lucado-From Elva Smithson)

SCRIPTURE:
Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in
our likeness." Genesis 1:26

We are all made in God's likeness, and yet, no two individuals
are the same. We all have different talents, strengths and skills.
You have a place in God's kingdom that no one else can fill!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

October 6

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
The little winds of calamity blow across your life; sometimes
they follow too soon on the heels of other disappointments.
Your tears turn to ice. Your emotions are locked in their
cold grip. God is able to reach you with the sunlight of his
love, melting away your frozen places. As long as you place
your hope in him, no icy prison can hold you.
(Moments of Peace in the Presence of God)

SCRIPTURE:
You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth
and clothed me with joy. Psalm 30:11

Do you feel you're locked in an icy prison? God's love can
can melt your frozen heart and free you to hope again!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

October 5

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
If you run into trouble along the way... change your direction,
not your destination. (From Phyllis Leonard)

SCRIPTURE:
A man's steps are directed by the Lord. How can anyone
understand his own way? Proverbs 20:24

God closes doors and opens windows all the time... so, if you
find a closed door, look for an open window!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

October 4

Greetings: God bless you this Lord's Day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
I'm more a land lubber than a sailor, but I've puttered around
in a bass boat enough to know the secret to finding landing in
a storm. You certainly don't stare at the waves. You set your
sights on an object unaffected by the wind-a light on the shore,
and head straight toward it. When you set your sights on God
your focus is one cut above any storm life can bring... you find
peace. (Max Lucado-From Elva Smithson)

SCRIPTURE:
Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times
and in every way. The Lord be with you. 2 Thessalonians 3:16

The above scripture seems to be a prayer to the Thessalonians
from Paul. May it be mine for you today as well!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

October 3

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
A heart of trust is one of life's sweet but hard-won gifts.
The discovery that God is always there, ready to lift you
when you start to sink, replaces fear with courage and
timidity with boldness. God also gives you strength to
face whatever life throws at you!
(Moments of Peace in the Presence of God)

SCRIPTURE:
Blessed is the man/woman who makes the Lord his/her
trust. Psalm 40:4

Trust in the Lord benefits us far more than it benefits him!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

October 2

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
To get joy we must give it away and to keep it we must scatter it.
(John Templeton)

SCRIPTURE:
Light is shed on the righteous and joy on the upright heart.
Psalm 97:11

Scattering joy is like scattering seed... you will see the growth in
those around you!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

Greetings: God bless you this day!
As we begin a new month, continue to pray our country.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
When you lose, don't lose the lesson.
(From Carolyn Hicks)

SCRIPTURE:
Learn to do right! Isaiah 1:17

I've heard it said: Learn from the mistakes of others, you
can't live long enough to make them all yourself!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

September 30

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Have you ever caught yourself expelling a deep sigh of
resignation after turning off the evening news. Or
perhaps it's like a groan of exasperation. This beloved
nation faces an uncertain future, and it's easy sometimes
to feel helpless and afraid. Helplessness, however, is a
good place to begin the day. Meet God early, often and
earnestly turn your sighs into words, confidently lay
your request before him. (Barb Kugle)

SCRIPTURE:
Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my sighing.
Psalm 5:1

This is the very time we need to be faithful in prayer
and confident, that although the future is uncertain,
we serve a God who is certain!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

September 29

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
The deepest word is... Soul.
The longest word... Eternity.
The swiftest word is... Time.
The nearest word is... Now.
The meanest word is. Sin.
The broadest word is... Truth.
The strongest word is... Right.
The truest word is... Love.
The sweetest word is... Home.
The dearest word is... Mother.
The greatest word is... God.

SCRIPTURE:
Be ye doers of the word, and not hears only.
James 1:22 (KJV)

September 28

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
God is constantly on the lookout, ready to rescue you,
whenever you fall or falter. Scripture says that he bends
down from heaven to deal with your affairs, lifting you up
when you're on the ash heap of life. He not only lifts you
from the dirt, he sets you in places of healing, where your
heart is strengthened and your spirit is renewed.
(Moments of Peace in the presence of God)

SCRIPTURE:
He takes the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from
the ash heap. Psalm 113:7

Are you on the ash heap of life today? Take heart...God is
waiting to rescue you!

Greetings: God bless you this Lord's Day!

SCRIPTURE:
Is prayer your steering wheel or your spare tire?
(Corrie Ten Boom)

SCRIPTURE:
Jesus speaking, said, "Isaiah was right when he prophesied
about you: These people honor me with their lips, but their
hearts are far from me."
Matthew 15:8

Make your prayers to God as fresh as your conversation with
your loved ones!

September 26

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Fear is a predator. It crouches in the shadows and strikes its
prey, you, waiting for in sign on your part of weakness and
vulnerability. When fear strikes, it can ravage your life,
destroy your talent and wipe out your resources. God has
given you a mighty sword with which to fight the predator,
fear-your faith. (Moments of Peace in the Presence of God.)

SCRIPTURE:
The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be
afraid? Psalm 27:1 (NKJV)

Fear cripples our ability to grow!

September 25

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Perfectionism and its control over our lives stands
seriously in the way of our growth and well-being,
emotionally, spiritually, and even physically. Life's
lessons comes through failures probably more than
successes. Through our failures we learn humility.
We learn to look to others for help and guidance.
We learn to let others fail too(Hazelden Meditations)

SCRIPTURE:
Though he stumble he will not fall, for the Lord
upholds him with his hand. Psalm 37:24

Failure is not fatal...but failing to try is!

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
My love is like a cabbage
That's easily cut in two.
The leaves I give to others,
But the heart I give to you.
(Tyrone)

SCRIPTURE:
Love the Lord you God with all your heart
and all your soul and with all your strength.
Deuteronomy 6:4

God wants the heart of each of us. Scattered leaves
will not do!

September 23

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Faith is not born at the negotiating table, where you barter
gifts in exchange for his goodness. Faith is not a reward
given to the most learned. It's not a prize given to the most
disciplined. It's not a title bequeathed on the most religious.
Faith is a desperate dive out of a sinking boat of human effort
and pray that God will be there to pull you out of the water!
(Max Lucado-From Elva Smithson)

SCRIPTURE:
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and
this is not from yourselves, it is a gift from God.
Ephesians 2:8

Faith is knowing that you can't save yourself, but believing
with all your heart, that God can!

September 22

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Sadly Judy Garland, likely, never found that carefree place,
'over the rainbow.' Her last few years revealed a harsh worn
face. But no matter what you've weathered in life-or perhaps
enduring right now-you can find peace. Wisdom, the kind
God can provide, will help you shine in your darkness,
transforming your appearance to reflect His love. If cares
have stolen your joy, seek Him, respond to Him and you
will see a dramatic difference in the mirror (Adam Colwell)

SCRIPTURE:
Wisdom brightens a man's face and changes its hard appearance
Ecclesiastes 8:1

Off times our face reflects our experiences. If we want the world
to know there is joy in living a Christian life, we must reflect that
joy in the expressions we wear!

September 21

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Just as the footpath through the woods winds its way
past twisting roots and low-hung branches, the narrow
way that leads to God may be full of obstacles. Someday
you'll be able to look back and rejoice over the path not
taken. (Moments of Peace in the Presence of God)

SCRIPTURE:
Make me go in the path of thy commandments; for therein
do I delight. Psalm 119:35 (KJV)

The path God has chosen for you, may at times, seem narrow,
long and weary. But remember: At the end of the path God's
waiting for you!

KNow I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

September 18

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Change thoughts and you change the person. If today's thoughts
are tomorrow's actions, what happens when we fill our minds
with thoughts of God's love? Will standing beneath a downpour
of God's grace change the way we feel about others? Rather
than store up sour, store up sweet.
( Max Lucado-From Elva Smithson)

SCRIPTURE:
Whatever is true, whatever is honorable...Is there anything worthy
of praise, think on these things. Philippians 4:8

The power of positive thinking will improve health as well!

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Even if everyone of your deeds was a step to heaven, it
would never reach high enough. Only God's mercy can
take you there. (Touched by an Angel)

SCRIPTURE:
God our savior saved us, not because of righteous things
we had done, but because of his mercy. Titus 3:4-5

Thank God for his mercy!

September 16

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
"This is the day," includes every day. Divorce days, final
exam days, tax days. Sending your first-born off to college
days. God made this day, ordained this hard hour, designed
the details of this wrenching moment. He isn't on holiday.
He still sits in the cockpit, and occupies the universe's
throne. Each day emerges from God's drawing room,
including this one. (Max Lucado-From Elva Smithson)

SCRIPTURE:
This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be
glad in it. Psalm 118:24

Remember: Each day is a gift, including this one!

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Waiting is never your choice, but you can choose how
you wait in the meantime. Allow your hope in God to
bring health to your soul and renewed strength to
your prayers. Be confident that he will work in his
way and his time. (Adam Colwell)

SCRIPTURE:
Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but longing fulfilled
is the tree of life Proverbs 13:12

As I've said before, God's waiting room is not the most
comfortable place to be, but perhaps it is where we grow
the most spiritually!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Our struggles with other people always take their toll
on us. They often push us to behavior we're not proud
of. No battle is worth the damage nearly every battle
can cause .(Hazelden Meditations)

SCRIPTURE:
When a man's ways are pleasing to the Lord, he makes
even his enemies live at peace with him. Proverbs 16:7

When we meet an adversary with peaceful intent, God
will help us accomplish the peace we seek!

September 13

Greetings: God bless you this Lord's Day!
Happy Grandparents Day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
God designed beauty to be dynamic, to renew itself in change. The
seasons are perhaps nature's best example of this. You watch as
summer's bright greens give way to fall's warmer colors, then fade
into winter's gray and white, Just when you long for the sight of green
again spring comes, bringing more buds of change and new life. God
must have known we would need visuals to remind us of his purpose
in change. (Moments of Peace in the Presence of God)

SCRIPTURE:
It was you (God) who set the boundaries of earth. You made both
summer and winter. Psalm 74:17

The seasons remind us so much of life: Spring-new birth and young
life. Summer-the fullness of love and young families. Fall-empty nest
and letting go. Winter-old age and declining health. This is God's way
of preparing us for the coming of a NEW SPRING in our lives!

September 12

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Have you ever worked a jigsaw puzzle and found yourself searching
desperately for that last piece to complete the puzzle? You repeatedly
scan the table, but you just can't find it, even though you know it must
be right there in front of you. When you finally discover the missing
piece you want to sound a trumpet! You've completed a beautiful
picture by filling in that empty space. (Adam Cowell)

SCRIPTURE:
Suppose a shepherd has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Will
he not leave the ninety-nine and go after the lost sheep?
Luke 15:4

God is like that with you and me. Without us, his picture is not complete
and he will go to desperate measures to complete the picture!

September 11

Greetings: God bless you this day!
Please fly your flag today and remember the families that lost
loved ones in 9-11

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
What if things only get worse? Christ tells us that they will.
He predicts spiritual bailouts, ecological turmoil and world
wide persecution, yet in the midst of this, he contends bravery
is still an option. In this dangerous day, with financial collapse
terrorist on the loose, we have every reason to retreat, but Jesus
told his disciples, "Don't freak out when bad stuff happens. See to
it that you finish your work, with special focus and extra resolve."
(Max Lucado-From Elva Smithson)

SCRIPTURE:
You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you
are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to
come. Matthew 24:6

However things may look and whoever feels they're in charge...
Remember, it is God who is in charge!

September 10

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Conscientious service is not hard to buy, willing
service is somewhat rarer, but loving service is
beyond price  and no one can command it.
(Mary Burchell)

SCRIPTURE;
Freely you have received, freely give.
Matthew 10:10

God does not necessarily call the qualified. He can
qualify the willing into loving service!

September 9

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Isn't it wonderful when you discover you're not facing
a big decision alone, but have the Lord's help. You had
a problem you didn't know how to fix, then you pray,
and suddenly you have a new idea or solution. How
exciting it is when you realize He stepped in.
(Connie Peters)

SCRIPTURE:
Pray that the Lord your God will tell us where we should
go and what we should do. Jeremiah 42:3

It really challenges our faith when God's answer is wait, or
worse, when his answer is no. We do not have the wisdom
to always be right in how we pray. When his answer is wait
or no, we grow in faith, if we put our trust in him!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

September 8

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
What do you do when people mistreat you or those you love? Does
the fire of anger boil within you? Or do you reach, somewhere, to
some source of cool water and pull out a bucket of mercy-to free
yourself? Don't get on a roller coaster of resentment and anger.
(Max Lucado-From Elva Smithson)

SCRIPTURE:
If you suffer for doing good, and you are patient, then God is
pleased. 1 peter 2:20 (NCV)

When I encounter injustice, my first inclination is to rise up and
swat it down...and I'm sorry to admit that happens more often than
a cool head!

Realize that life is a school and your are here to learn,
pass all your tests. Problems are simply part of the
curriculum that appear and fade away life algebra class.
But the lessons you learn will last a life time.
(From Dot Barr)

SCRIPTURE:
Let the wise listen and add to their learning.
Proverbs 1:5

We all learn more from listening than talking and more
from doing than saying!

September 6

Greetings: God bless you this Lord's Day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
At Washington, DC Metro Station, world famous violinist,
Joshua Bell, incognito, conducted an experiment for the
Washington Post. He played his violin for an hour. In that
time only 6 people stopped to listen. Some threw a dollar
his way and continued on. Several children stopped, only to
have a parent tug them away. One of the greatest musicians
in the world, played one of the most intricate pieces ever
written, on a violin worth 3.5 million. Two days after he had
played to a sold out house in a Boston theater, at an average
of 100 dollars a seat. One of the conclusions reached of the
experiment: If we do not have a moment to stop and listen to
some of the finest music ever written, played by one of the best
musicians of the world, on one of the most beautiful instruments
ever made...How many other things are we missing?
(From Phyllis Leonard)

SCRIPTURE:
He was in the world and though the world was made through him,
the world did not recognize him. John 1:10

Are you missing the best things in life?

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Hope springs from a heart that trusts God. Without hope,
your life would quickly turn bleak. But with this virtue in
your heart, every dark cloud and uncertain sky holds clouds
with silver linings. (Moments of Peace in the Presence of God)

SCRIPTURE:
O Lord, you alone are my hope, I've trusted you, O Lord, from
childhood. Psalm 71:5 (NLT)

What the world needs most is hope!

September 4

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Have you ever felt like nothing more could possibly go
wrong in your life? Naomi, a woman who lost her husband
and both sons, was definitely feeling that way. Her story, in
the book of Ruth, started out as one of hopelessness. She
felt that the hand of the Lord was against her. Ruth her
daughter-in-law would not give up on her. Ruth vowed,
"Your people will be my people and your God my God."
Naomi discovered that the Lord had not left her at all. Do
you know any Naomi's that need to know God is still there
for them? (Adam Colwell)

SCRIPTURE:
May those who fear you rejoice when they see me, for I have put
my trust in your word. Psalm 119:74

If everything is going wrong for you today...hang in there, tomorrow's
another day and God will be there, waiting, to handle anything you're
willing to trust to his care!

SCRIPTURE:

great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23

Remembering the above scripture, will help us live the above
thought!

September 2

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Even when you achieve the goals you've set, you sometimes
arrive at the finish line only to feel your victory is empty and
meaningless. Too late you realize that the furious run was in
the wrong direction. God measures success in terms of faith,
hope and love. It is never too late to begin following his lead.
Your consequent victory will bring lasting satisfaction and a
sense of true success.
(Moments of Peace in the Presence of God)

SCRIPTURE:
Lead me in the path of your commands, because that makes me
happy. Make me want to keep your rules instead of wishing for
riches. Keep me from looking at worthless things. Let me live
by your word. Psalm 119:35-37 (NCV)

True success is not measured in how we look, what kind of car
we drive or the house we live in!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

September 1

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
There was a story about a man bitten by a dog who had
rabies. The man begin to make a list and the doctor said,
"You don't have to make out your will, rabies can be cured"
He replied, "Oh, I'm not making out my will. I'm making
a list of the people I want to bite." Couldn't we all make a
list. Friends, who are not always friendly. Neighbors, who
are not always neighborly. Workers, who never work. We
sometimes keep a list, snarl and snap at people. God wants
your list. He wants you to leave the list at the cross.
(Max Lucado-From Elva Smithson)

SCRIPTURE:
Love does not keep record of wrongs. 1 Corinthians 13:5

If you must be a list keeper, this month keep a list of everything
your loved ones do that's good!

you look at life. (Reminisce Magazine)

SCRIPTURE:

attitudes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12

Today, can be whatever your attitude dictates!

August 30

Greetings: God bless you this Lord's Day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Niagara Falls. The Grand Canyon. Whether you're near
the edge of the falls, enveloped each minute by spray of
six million cubic feet of cascading water or standing on
the rim of the canyon overcome with dizzying awe, as
you peer into a seemingly bottomless gorge...both are
akin to the, "The fear of the Lord." A.W.Tozer called it,
"Astonished Reverence." The development of wisdom
and knowledge starts with a loving reverence for the
Lord. (Adam Colwell)

SCRIPTURE:
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and
knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
Proverbs 9:10

In every story in the Bible, where men and women have
come into the awesome presences of God, they have fallen
on their knees in reverence. Perhaps, we need to be reminded
now and again of the awesome presence of God!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

August 29

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
All that is asked of us by our creator is that we love him and
each other. Where love doesn't flow easy, perhaps we can
just decide not to hurt someone. If we each avoid hurting
all people for just one day, lives would be transformed.
we'd each see the world with a fresh perspective.
(Hazelden Meditations)

SCRIPTURE:
Anyone who does not love his brother whom he has seen,
cannot love God, whom he has not seen. 1 John 4:20

I like the idea of just not hurting another. Love is a gradual
thing. You must get to know others to love them. You must
get to know God to love him as well!

August 28

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
You may wonder sometimes if your life is no longer a
bright promise. You may lie awake in the hours of the
night reliving your regrets. God is the great promise
keeper. He is already aware of every poor choice, every
lost opportunity, and every wasted moment, he knows
and your mistakes grieve him. He takes you as you are
and restores hope to your life.
(Moments of Peace in the Presence of God)

SCRIPTURE:
Your promise revives me; it comforts me in my troubles.
Psalm 119:50 (NLT)

We may brake our promises from time to time, but God
never brakes his promises!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Acceptance of conditions that at times plague us changes
not only the conditions, but in the process, ourselves. We
change into  more accepting people, life's struggles ease.
We accept all circumstances we can't control, we are more
peaceful, smile more, It almost seems life's eternal lesson
is acceptance. (Hazelden Meditations)

SCRIPTURE:
I have learned the secret of being content in any and all
circumstances.  Philippians 4:12

Life continually changes, if we fight those changes every step
of the way, we wear ourselves out, physically, emotionally,
and spiritually!

August 25

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
God loves all children and wants you to be united with him.
As a believer you have a responsibility to be a blessing, not only
to those who are living Godly lives, but also to those who are not.
You are a mirror of God's love in the world! You reflect and pass
along the goodness and mercy shown you. You practice this
commandment most notably when you reach out to people
who do not know that God loves them.
(Moments of Peace in the Presence of God)

SCRIPTURE:
Good and upright is the Lord. Therefore He teaches
sinners the way, Psalm 25:8 (NKJV)

It is very hard for us to hate the sin and not the sinner, but
God can help us do it!

SCRIPTURE:

August 23

Greetings: God bless you this Lord's Day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
A blazing fire is glorious, but when spent, nothing remains
but gray ashes. A somber contrast to the colorful flames
that danced so high in the air, filling the room with warmth.
At times, you may feel that your life is reduced to ashes, that
your strength is gone and the flames you once carried inside
is cold and colorless. God promises that even at your lowest
point, he is there to rekindle the flame within you.
(Moments of Peace in the Presence of God)

SCRIPTURE:
Why am I discouraged? Why so sad? I will put my hope in God.
Psalm 143:5 (NLT)

Hope is like a spark in the ashes of yesterday's fire. Sometimes
the ashes look so dead, but add a little kindling (God's word)
and blow on the ashes (a little prayer) and a spark will come to
life!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
To find in ourselves what makes life worth living is risky
business; for it means that once we know, we must seek it.
It also means that without it life is valueless.
(Marsha Sinetar)

SCRIPTURE:
(Paul speaking) 'For me to live is Christ and to die is gain."
Philippians 1:21

I believe Paul found the answer to today's thought!

August 21

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Procrastination plagues us all. But any activity that is worthy
of our effort should be tackled by bits and pieces, one day at
a time. We easily get overwhelmed when we sit our sights
on the accomplished goal. We need to focus, instead, on one
element at a time. A book is written, word by word, a house
built, nail by nail, a college degree is attained, course by
 course. (Hazelden Meditations)

SCRIPTURE:
I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it, but one
thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what
is ahead I press on toward the goal. Philippians 3:13-14

Shall we pick up one of those unfinished projects and plod on?
Remember: Things are not as important as relationships.
Do not procrastinate, make that call-visit-give a hug or a smile
today!
