Please keep Jim in your prayers. He is scheduled for gallbladder surgery
at 5:PM this afternoon and he has been battling a cold for the last week or
so. Pray the surgery goes as scheduled.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
You are constantly bombarded with the message that you should want more,
have more. Doing so will bring you happiness. You are encouraged to acquire
a bigger house and a finer car. Urged to use your credit cards as you fill your
house and life with purchases you often neither need or want. Start now
to live a life in which God is center. His love is the wealth you truly want
and only in him will you find peace.(Moments of Peace in the Presence of God)
SCRIPTURE:
They that trust in their wealth and boast themselves in the multitude of their
riches, none of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a
ransom for him. Psalm 46:6-7 (KJV)
The only riches that are lasting are those found in Christ.
