June 30

Greetings: God bless you this day:

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Why does God not heal me? Did you ever wonder about that?
When we allow God to work, he can take our afflictions and
use them to accomplish his glory. That's just how his power
works. God doesn't give us his grace and power so that we can
endure, but rather so that we can rise above our afflictions to
accomplish something for his kingdom. Our afflictions can be
transformed from a stumbling block to a stepping-stone.
(Rick Ezell-From Dot Barr)

SCRIPTURE:
I consider that all our present sufferings are not worth comparing
with the glory that will be revealed in us Romans 8:18

Paul, the writer of the above scripture, had an affliction that God
did not heal, but he gave him the power to rise above it. He will
give us the power and strength as well!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Five Simple Rules To Be Happy:
1. Free your heart of hate.
2. Free your mind of worry.
3. Live simply.
4. Give more.
5. Expect less.
(Author Unknown-From Helen Kowalczyk)

SCRIPTURE:
I know that there is nothing better for men than
to be happy and do good while they live.
Ecclesiastes 3:12

The rules may sound simple, but being the human beings
we are...living them is not so simple!

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Do you sometimes feel unworthy to pray?
(Kathy Lumbert)

SCRIPTURE:
Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee
and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood up and
thanked God for being such a good man. The tax collector
said, "God have mercy on me a sinner." Jesus said, "I tell
you the tax collector went home justified before God."
Luke 18:10-14 (Paraphrased)

Whatever your circumstances, God will HEAR your prayer!

June 26

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
How often we wish for another chance
To make a new beginning,
A chance to blot out our mistakes
And change failure into winning.

Never give up in despair
And think that you are through,
For there's always a tomorrow
And a chance to start anew.
(Helen Steiner Rice)

SCRIPTURE:
Morning by morning he dispenses justice, and
every new day he does not fail. Zephaniah 3:5

This is a new day. God gave you this day as a gift,
make the most of it!

June 25

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
How often do you thank God for his kindness?
Not often enough. But does our ingratitude
restrict his kindness? No. Because he is kind
even to people who are ungrateful and full of
sin. (Max Lucado-From Elva Smithson)

SCRIPTURE:
He is kind even to people who are ungrateful
and full of sin. Luke 6:35 (NCV)

One way we can show God we're grateful for
his kindness...pass it on. Show kindness to
everyone you meet today?

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
The heaviest thing you can carry is a grudge.
(Author Unknown-From Carolyn Hicks)

SCRIPTURE:
My guilt has overwhelmed me like a burden too
heavy to bear. Psalm 38:4

Lay all your grudges, guilts and regrets at the feet
of Jesus. He carried a wooden cross, your burdens
are not too heavy for him!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

June 23

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Has it been awhile since you gazed at the heavens?
Has it been awhile since you realized God's divinity
and your frailty? If it has, then you need to know
something. He is still there. He hasn't left.
(Max Lucado-From Elva Smithson)

SCRIPTURE:
What is man that you are mindful of him, the son of
man that you care for him? Psalm 8:4

Most of us live an ordinary day to day existence, in an
ordinary well ordered world. A world created by and
guided by an extraordinary, awesome and powerful God,
who wants to be our friend. Isn't that amazing!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Anybody can have a wedding. It takes more to have a marriage.
That's what God wants for you. (Touched by an Angel)

SCRIPTURE:
He (Jesus) made himself nothing, taking on the very nature of
a servant. Philippians 2:7

June 21

Greetings: God bless you this Lord's Day!
Happy Father's Day to all you fathers.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
He didn't tell me how to live...he lived, and let me
watch him do it. (Clarence Buddington Kelland)

SCRIPTURE:
Fathers, do not embitter your children, or they
will become discouraged. Colossians 3:21

FATHERS ARE THE FACE OF GOD
Fathers are the face of God
For each and every child.
They see the face of God
In a father's tender smile.

How their children view their Maker
Through their growing years
Will depend upon their father,
If he can calm their doubts and fears.

If a father has shown mercy,
Tenderness and love,
That will be just how his children
Will view the Father up above.

Father's, just remember:
As through this life you trod,
Your children, will not only see an earthly father,
They will see the face of God.

June 20

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
The only people who fail are those who never try.
(Ilka Chase)

SCRIPTURE:
The servant said, "I was afraid and went out and hid your
talent in the ground." The master answered, "You should
have put my money on deposit with the bankers. Take the
talent from him." Matthew 25:25,27,28

Fear of failure cripples success!

June 19

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
God is a keeper of promises. David had prayed that the Lord
would keep his promise to extend his dynasty forever. He had
no way to look ahead, but God knew that the King of Kings,
Jesus, would be born into David's royal lineage. What a
promise kept! (Peggy Gustave)

SCRIPTURE:
And now, Lord God, keep forever the promise you have made
concerning your servant and his house. Do as you promised.
2 Samuel 7:25

He will keep his promise to you as well!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

June 18

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
It's choices, not chance, that holds your destiny.
(Author Unknown)

SCRIPTURE:
Choose this day for yourself whom you will serve.
But as for me and my house we will serve the Lord.
Joshua 24:15

We can't go wrong if we make Joshua's choice our
choice!

June 17

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Has your home or your work become your prison?
Are you burdened with additional tasks or obstinate
co-workers? Do you feel you're at a dead end? Do as
David did. Pour out your complaints before the Lord.
The same God that knew David's path knows yours!
He has promised to deliver you and provide refuge.
(Harriet Al-Najjar)

SCRIPTURE:
I pour out my complaint before him; before him I
tell my troubles! Psalm 142:2

Do not only come to God when things are going wrong.
He would love to hear from you when things are going
right!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

Greetings: God bless you this day!

Yesterday we were ay Walmart's and someone put a card
on our car. It had a picture of two cute puppies in a basket
with these words:

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Good friends stick close together: Jesus is Lord now and
forever. (Author Unknown)

SCRIPTURE:
Two are better than one...if one falls down his friend can
help him up. Eccelesiastes 4:9-10

The instructions on the card were to pass this message on,
which I am doing. Will you share it with one other person?

June 15

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
The cross was no accident. Calvary was not a knee-jerk
response to a world plummeting to destruction. It wasn't
a patch up job. The death of the Son of God was anything
but an unexpected peril. God's Master plan was fulfilled.
(Max Lucado-From Elva Smithson)

SCRIPTURE:
They put him to death by nailing him to a cross. But this
was God's plan he made long ago. Acts 2:23 (NCV)

Your life is no accident. You were put here for a purpose
If you haven't found that purpose yet...keep looking!

June 14

Greetings: God bless you this Lord's Day!
Today is Flag Day. Be sure to fly your flag.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
As you teach their lips to pray,
Teach them always to be true
To the red, the white, and blue;
Praise the Flag from day to day,
Tell the children at your knee
All the joys of liberty.
(Edgar A. Guest)

SCRIPTURE:
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord,
Plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give
you hope for the future. Jeremiah 29:11

For well adjusted adults, we should teach our children and
grandchildren to love God, be thankful for our freedom and
respect the symbols of our freedom!

OUR FLAG
She flies over our nation
With such glory and pride.
She honors the graves
Of those who have died.

She flies over ships
Far out to sea.
She's a symbol of freedom,
For you and for me.

She drapes over the casket
Of brave, fallen women and men,
She goes into battle
Through the thick and the thin.

She wears her colors proudly,
Even, when thrown to the ground.
She's been ripped and been burned
And been tossed all around.

She still flies proud and stately,
So tried and so true,
Our marvelous flag...
The red, white and blue.

June 13

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Distress, discouragement, depression-are all words that
start with the letter "D." Jonah must have felt all these
negative emotions when he was in the belly of a fish.
(Harriet Al-Najjar)

SCRIPTURE:
He said, "In my distress, I called to the Lord and he
answered me." Jonah 2:2

Devotion to God, deliverance from our troubles, from the
divine Father and our dependence on him to take care of
us, are some of the positive "D,'S" to replace the negative
ones!

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
A lot of us are susceptible to the alluring and addicting drug of
self-pity, (Lynn Anderson)

SCRIPTURE:
I am worn out from groaning; all night long I flood my bed
with weeping and drench my couch with tears. Psalm 6:6

Most of us have a pity-potty we sit on now and then, but we
need not make it a permanent seat!

June 11

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
God loves you simply because he has chosen to do so.
(Max Lucado-From Elva Smithson)

SCRIPTURE:
You are a chosen people. 1 Peter 2:9

God chose you, not because of your looks, lifestyle, bank
account or neighborhood, but because he has chosen to
love you!

June 10

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
You know, "if" is the saddest word in the English language.
You hold on to that, "if" long enough, it will eat a hole right
through your heart. (Touched by an Angel)

SCRIPTURE:
Peter remembered the word Jesus had spoken: "Before the roster
crows, you will disown me three times." And he went outside and
wept bitterly. (Matthew 26:75

Our, if only and our regrets are useless emotions. We need to release
them to be healthy and happy. If Jesus could forgive Peter, he can forgive
us as well!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Don't ask God to Guide your footsteps if you're not willing
to move your feet. (From Dot Barr-Author Unknown)

SCRIPTURE:
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Psalm 119:105

You need to read the map to know which direction to
move your feet!

June 8

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Brick by Brick, life by life, God is creating a kingdom, 'a spiritual house,'
He entrusted you with a key task in the project, examine your tools
and discover it. (Max Lucado-From Elva Smithson)

SCRIPTURE:
Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain.
Psalm 127:1

Our lives are built on God or quick-sand...the choice is ours!
