THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
At Washington, DC Metro Station, world famous violinist,
Joshua Bell, incognito, conducted an experiment for the
Washington Post. He played his violin for an hour. In that
time only 6 people stopped to listen. Some threw a dollar
his way and continued on. Several children stopped, only to
have a parent tug them away. One of the greatest musicians
in the world, played one of the most intricate pieces ever
written, on a violin worth 3.5 million. Two days after he had
played to a sold out house in a Boston theater, at an average
of 100 dollars a seat. One of the conclusions reached of the
experiment: If we do not have a moment to stop and listen to
some of the finest music ever written, played by one of the best
musicians of the world, on one of the most beautiful instruments
ever made...How many other things are we missing?
(From Phyllis Leonard)
SCRIPTURE:
He was in the world and though the world was made through him,
the world did not recognize him. John 1:10
Are you missing the best things in life?
Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda
