THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Have you ever caught yourself expelling a deep sigh of
resignation after turning off the evening news. Or
perhaps it's like a groan of exasperation. This beloved
nation faces an uncertain future, and it's easy sometimes
to feel helpless and afraid. Helplessness, however, is a
good place to begin the day. Meet God early, often and
earnestly turn your sighs into words, confidently lay
your request before him. (Barb Kugle)
SCRIPTURE:
Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my sighing.
Psalm 5:1
This is the very time we need to be faithful in prayer
and confident, that although the future is uncertain,
we serve a God who is certain!
