THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
It seems a paradox. If God truly does whatever pleases Him
in the heavens and the earth, why in the "Lord's Prayer"did
Jesus teach His disciples to pray for God's will to be done
on earth as it is in heaven? Because the Father's ultimate
will is already done in heaven and in earth. Like the adage
says, if you turn to the back of the Book, you will find that
God wins. But because of human free will, the Lord's specific
purposes are not always realized in the here and now. There-
fore your ability to do His will today, is accomplished through
prayer, reading His word and obedience. (Vantage Point Devotional)
SCRIPTURE:
The Lord does whatever pleases him, in the heavens and on the
earth, in the seas and all their depths. Psalms 135:6
And it pleases Him to save you and give you an abundant life!
