THOUGHT FOR TODAY:

The little winds of calamity blow across your life; sometimes

they follow too soon on the heels of other disappointments.

Your tears turn to ice. Your emotions are locked in their

cold grip. God is able to reach you with the sunlight of his

love, melting away your frozen places. As long as you place

your hope in him, no icy prison can hold you.

You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth 

and clothed me with joy. Psalm 30:11

Do you feel you're locked in an icy prison? God's love can

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:

I'm more a land lubber than a sailor, but I've puttered around

in a bass boat enough to know the secret to finding landing in

a storm. You certainly don't stare at the waves. You set your

sights on an object unaffected by the wind-a light on the shore,

and head straight toward it. When you set your sights on God

your focus is one cut above any storm life can bring... you find

Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times 

and in every way. The Lord be with you. 2 Thessalonians 3:16 

The above scripture seems to be a prayer to the Thessalonians

The discovery that God is always there, ready to lift you

when you start to sink, replaces fear with courage and

timidity with boldness. God also gives you strength to
