SCRIPTURE:
Now faith is being sure of what you hope for and certain of what
you do not see. Hebrews 11:1

It takes faith to believe, when you want to quit, but keep on keeping on,
one step at a time and God will reward your faithfulness.

He has  plan for each of us as well!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Do you need hope today? Pick up God's Word and ask Him to show
you His hope for your situation. Regardless of where you are, He
already knows everything about it. No trouble or trial is too great for
our Lord. We have one requirement, to place our hope in Him.

Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all of you who hope
in the Lord. Psalm 21:34

Hope placed in money-looks-home or career, is false hope, if God is not the
center of it!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
If you're being stretched, bent, or even burnt right now, ask the Lord
to help you learn His lesson. If we learn the first time, we don't have
to return to this place of discipline. (Daily Disciples Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
All discipline, for the moment, seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful: yet
to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful
fruit of righteousness. Hebrews 12:11

And somewhere else, it says that He disciplines those He loves, so if you're
going through a rough patch... know you're loved!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
We should not be too critical of Eve, because we struggle with the same
temptations. When we make choices that are against God, we share the
same feelings of fear, guilt and shame as we attempt to hide from the
presence of God. He graciously calls us and seeks us out.

SCRIPTURE:
The Lord called to Adam and said to him, "Where are you?"

When I was a kid I had a cat that liked to play hide and seek with me.
He would hide his head between the arm and pillow of an overstuffed chair.
Because He couldn't see me, he thought I couldn't see him. That's like
trying to hide from God!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Remember today that God is in everything that happens in your life.
No matter what ails you, God is with you. Sometimes God does the
greatest work through our weaknesses and pain.

I was given a thorn and three times I asked God to take it away, but he said,

And as He was with Paul, He will be glorified through our weakness as well!
