January 8

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
When we're struggling, we physically need people with us
who love us.. When we're troubled we need friends to persevere
with us, without tiring. (Dave Schulze-Power for Today)

SCRIPTURE:
And surely I am with you always, even to the end of the age.
Matthew 28:20

Now that's a Friend you can count on!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda.

January 6

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Joy is found in the Lord! Hard days will come and go,
but  because of our relationship with God through Jesus,
joy abides. (Bruce Henderson-Power for Today)

SCRIPTURE:
Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing
spirit to sustain me. Psalm 51:12

There is hope in the first line of the thought. Hard days will come,
but they will go.... even though it doesn't seem possible in the midst
of a hard day!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

January 5

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
When we unselfishly ask our Lord to guide us and give us
wisdom and discernment, God will be pleased and give us aid.
(Connie Thomas-Power for Today)

SCRIPTURE:
Whatever you ask for, believe you have received it.
Mark 11:24

We need to keep in mind that God is not Santa, who give us
our every wish. Another Scripture says..."You do not receive,
because you ask amiss."

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda.

January 4

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
The word "Blessed," really means "Oh, the happiness of the man."
As a child of God, happiness seems to ascend  to cheerfulness and
then joy, which is the fruit of the Holy Spirit. So, the child of God
can know true happiness. (Burton Coffman-Power for Today)

SCRIPTURE:
Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I say rejoice.
Philippians 4:4

Happiness is being at peace with God and that is not easy to achieve in
an un-peaceful world... we need to be reminded now and again that
true happiness does not depend on circumstances, but on God.

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

January 3

Greetings: God bless you this Lord's Day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
How thankful we are that God has not only revealed Himself
in His Word but in the wonders of nature.
(Glen Boyd-Power for Today)

SCRIPTURE:
The heavens declare the glory of God and the skies proclaim the
work of his hands. Psalm 19:1

I worked in the lab at Kratt Foods and sometimes worked with a microscope.
I don't know how anyone could look through a microscope at the intricate work
of the eye of a common housefly or look up into the skies on a starry night and
believe this all happened by chance! How great is our God!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

January 2

Greetings: God bless you this day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
We need a place of refuge. We need redemption and deliverance.
How great it is that our God is our Rock!
Joyce Hardin-Power for Today)

SCRIPTURE:
Be my Rock and refuge to which I can always go.
Psalm 71:3

I love rocks and I think it is great that God has been called our Rock.
They are ageless and solid  and so is God!

Know I prayed for you today. Blessings-Freda

January 1

Greetings: God bless you this day!
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO Y'ALL

RGOUGHT FOR TODAY:
In 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, Paul gives us the ultimate antidote for
hopelessness. He reminds us that believers in all ages and stages
that there will be a certain lasting change, a new beginning. Jesus
is coming again. And those who die in Christ will live again.
(Steven Lemley-Power for Today)

SCRIPTURE:
Therefore encourage each other with these words.
1 Thessalonians 4:18

The wonderful thing about being a Christian, the new beginnings starts here.
When we are baptized into Christ, we become a new creature. We are given
a new beginning. And the grace of God gives us the chance to begin again each
new day!
