The best preparation for tomorrow is the right use of today.

Be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give a
reason for the hope you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.
1 Peter 3:15

Sometimes when a day is bad, we say..."thats life." when
better preparation yesterday, may have made a better today?

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
It's fun to open gifts. Birthday, wedding, Christmas...it doesn't matter.
The excitement is there. Grab the package. Pull off the paper. Open
the box. "WOW!"
God's gift of life is here... let's open it with joy and thanksgiving!

Today is our daughter' Janet's birthday. We certainly thought of her
as a perfect gift from God!

Greetings: God bless you this day!
If you missed my thought yesterday, we spent the day
at the hospital. Jim had his pacemaker changed and it was pretty
involved, so happy to have that over with!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Peace of mind is elusive. There are so many things that can frighten.
Uncertainty about the future can fill us with fears.
Knowledge of the presence of the Father has great peace-giving powers.

SCRIPTURE:
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition
with thanksgiving, present your request to God. Philippians 4:6

Paul's answer to peace was prayer and it is still the best answer!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
When David defeated the enemy, he did not look to earthly
leaders for his strength, but to the living God.
When others let us down, God may be calling us to provide
leadership in His strength and for His honor.

SCRIPTURE:
The Lord does not save with sword and spear, for the battle
is the Lord's and he will give all of you into our hands.
1 Samuel 17:47

The above verse is David speaking to the Philistines. In both David
and Moses' leadership, they experienced betrayal and people that let
them down. You cannot experience life without having people that
will let you down, and God says, "You don't have to say down"
If someone lets me down or disappointments me.. I think.. how many
people have I let down or disappointed?

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
I've asked God to help me listen with love to others, with humility.
We don't get closer to God by passing judgment on others.

Everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, he who humbles
himself, will be exalted. Luke 9:14

Listening is hard for someone that has so much to say... and I've been
humbled  a few times because of it.

As as senior, I may have some regrets, but I shall never regret...
taking time to thank God for His love and patience. I will never
regret taking valuable moments to listen to Him, to value Him
