THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Timing, they say,  is everything. The Bible confirms this.
There is a time for every purpose under heaven. To paraphrase
Ecclesiastes, there's a time to dream and a time to stop dreaming
and get to work. Dreaming, allowing  the creative part of your mind
to wander in a productive way, can be fruitful. Excessive dreaming,
however, can be ineffective. (The Pocket Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
He who gathers crops in the summer is a wise son, but he who
sleeps during harvest is a disgraceful son. Proverbs 10:5

We all need to hold onto our dreams, so much of what has been
accomplished in the world, we would not have, without someone's
dreams, but dreams need to be put into action!

Never be ashamed of your tears. Tears of compassion and sympathy
reveal qualities of the soul that this world greatly needs. The Bible tells
us that Joseph wept eight times. David wept seven times. Jeremiah wept
three times and Jesus wept at the tomb of Lazarus.( Bread from My Oven)

SCRIPTURE:
He will swallow up death forever and the Sovereign Lord will away the
tears from their faces. Isaiah 25:8

We should learn from our mistakes and give them to God and move on.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
It took a long time and a lot of prayer to get me into the habit of
waking up early. It is in the early mornings that I am in a better place
to hear from the Lord, because there is nothing competing against
His words. During that quiet time, I cn enjoy the freedom from the
noise of the day. The house is quiet and peaceful in those ore-dawn
hours. (Daily Disciples Devotional)

SCRIPTURE:
My voice you shall hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning I will
direct it to you, and I will look up. Psalm 5:3

I'm an early morning person. I love walking in the early morning and I love
the sounds of a world coming alive in the morning. A train whistle, a dog
barking, a dove cooing, a bird singing, even the distant hum of the traffic on
the freeway. I just heard a flock of wild parrots fly over. They hang around in
the trees here in the park and are they ever noisy. But I love hearing the world
wake up in the morning!

We are  spotlight seeking humans... If you do not believe this, just
remember where your eye falls in a group picture that you are in.
So we must train ourselves to move out of the spotlight and let others
move in... encouragement is one of the greatest ways to serve God!

A little boy, returning from Sunday school, met a man that scoffed and said,
"Well, if you can tell me where God is. I'll give you quarter." The little boy
answered, "If you can tell me where God isn't, I'll give you a dollar!"

We all need more of this little boy's faith...God was in our yesterday and is in

He wanted us to be with Him forever, so He sent His Son to take our
sins upon Himself and die in our place. Praise God for His patience

The gift of life is denied to so many through abortion, but the gift of eternal life

Hatred of Christian is not new, Paul speaks of it in the book of Romans.
And he prays for Israel's unbelief in Christ as Messiah. Pray for those
today whose hearts need to be be turned to Christ for good to overcome.
Only a people saved by God's grace and the blood of Jesus can impact
others who despair and hate and whose understanding is clouded by

Brothers, my heart's desire and prayer to God is that they may be saved.

I read a thing on FB this morning... "David killed his giant with a prayer
and a rock. You can kill your giants with a prayer and a ROCK as well!"

In the fullness of summer, in all its green lushness, you can sometimes
hear a noisy symphony of natural sounds, Crickets, frogs, birds all
contribute to the song of praise to God their Creator, How can they

fact that God called us to "reason together," means that He knew we would
