THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
When we turn away from God, He feels intense loss. The world
is filed with attractions, the more we focus on them the more we wander
God is always waiting: He welcomes us back with open arms. Imagine
His overflowing joy as He says, "Rejoice with me, I have found my lost

SCRIPTURE:
Your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should

When we feel that God is far away, we must remember...that God is not the
one who Moved!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Not all small tasks have to do with our role in the church.
The mother who cares so well for her children. The father who
spends time nurturing his children and the grown-up children who
do so many things to ease the life of their elderly parents. They all
are quietly laying up treasures in heaven.

Sometimes, something we consider a small thing, may be a big thing
to the receiver ...God considers all things small or large ...faithful!

Who is building my life? The answer is easy to find if I ask a
few more questions of myself: How do I schedule my time?
How do I spend my money? How do I treat other people?

A good question... Do I work for the construction crew, or the demolition
crew? Do I build up or tear down? So many of those who demonstrate and
tear down other people's property would have no idea how to build it back!

I don't think most people take the time to think how blessed they are
to have the freedom to read God's Word. So many people are denied
that privilege. Part of my daily prayer ritual, is to thank God for
the freedom to read His Word, the freedom to worship Him and
the freedom to come to Him in prayer.

We do not need to worry about arrogance or humility when
we meet God in pray, He always gives us the best seat in the
house. He invites us into His throne-room when we pray!

temporal and limited. But if you invest them with the eye toward

Jesus' death on the cross was high cost for delivering us from
sin. And only He could pay the price. Money can't buy redemption.

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins,

Money can't buy our way to heaven, but we do need to give back to God
what is already His...not for His sake, but ours.

Someone once asked Mother Teresa, how she could hold one of
the diseased ridden people from the street in her arms and care
for them?  Her answer was simple... "I see Jesus in every face!"
Perhaps if we see Jesus in our every task, they would become more
joyful?

When pain is our companion, the "long shadows of doubt, fear
and self-pity, want to be our companions  too..that is then we need
to remember God' promises!

God takes the brokenness of our lives and artfully fits them together

The man or woman that can be thankful for the little things of life,
will always be content. A good way to remember to be thankful,
is to start a "thankful journal. Jot down sight-sound- clean water-
clean air-sense of smell, to name a few.

passes. We're not promised tomorrow, If you have a family member

The difficult circumstances we face can make it hard to say, "thank you"
We can be thankful to our God who sees in every situation an opportunity
for us to trust Him-whether or not we see His purpose.

Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ

If you notice Paul did not say give thanks for every circumstance, he said
"give thanks in all circumstances." there is always something for which to
be thankful. God gave me a brand new day today, the circumstances of my
life my not have changed, but the day is new  and I can look for ways ti be
thankful. God is still in control and Jesus loved me enough to die for me!

The key word in the above Scripture is "attitude." God can't do
much for us, if our attitude is "I can't do anything, my sin is too
big,  I'm too old to change. " God is bigger than all these things!

Can you believe it is March already?

The Lord encourages us trust Him and to remain faithful to others,  to

Let us not grow weary of doing good, for at the proper time we will reap
a harvest it we do not give up.  Galatians 6:9

I think the key words here are "don't give up"  which happens to be the title
of my poem today. Don't give up trusting God, no matter what's going on
around you.  Don't give up  encouraging others,  even when their actions
may be discouraging. And most of all, don't give up praying...this world
needs your prayers!
