THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
While you're praying for patience, pray for understanding
as well. Patient people have great understanding.
(Proverbs 14:29) Why? Because patience always hitches
a ride with understanding. The wise mans says, "A man of
understanding always holds his tongue." (Proverbs 11:12)
Don't miss the connection between understanding and
patience. Before you strike out, tune in.
God is patient with you. Can't you pass on some patience
to others? (Max Lucado)
SCRIPTURE:
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some
understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting
any to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
2 Peter 3:9
Everyone... means everyone, we can't pick and choose with
whom to be patient!
