Greetings: God bless you this day!
I don't know if you missed me yesterday, But I was suffering
from vertigo and the computer was not my friend! It has not
completely left me, but is so much better... praises for that!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
A blacksmith, long go boasted that he could break anyone's chains
by finding the weakest link. But he made sure he had no weak links
in this chains he made. One day he broke the law and they chained him
up... he thought... no problem ... I'll just find the weakest link. To his
horror, he realized he had been bound with his own chains!

I love the analogy of being beneath God's wings. Having lived, on a farm and
having watched a mother hen safely keeping her chicks beneath her wings. I think
it a lovely comparison in how God cares for us.

I was trying to decide if I should retire early. I spent one afternoon in God's Word
and in prayer. I came across Hebrews 13:5-6 It spoke so clearly to me, I retired and
never looked back.

Jesus spoke the above words to His apostles during a storm on the
Sea of Galilee. They were afraid they were going to drown, and
here He was sleeping. We think if we had the physical presence of
Jesus, we would be different... but would we?

Road Of Good Intentions:
While eating dinner with friends, someone said, "Isn't it sad to be homeless
on a night like this?" I asked, "Where did you see a homeless person?" and
they said "In the doorway, sleeping." I looked up and then I saw the sleeping
form. I have always read the story of the "Good Samaritan with a critical eye
to the religious man who passed on the other side, and here I had been so totally
absorbed, that I had almost stepped over the man in the door way without seeing
him. Do you have eyes, but fail to see, like I did that night?

I decided to turn a bedroom into a play room for my daughter,
Adelaide. I painted a chest and needed  some knobs for it,
so Adelaide and I went to the Pottery Barn. She picked out some
pink crustal butterfly knobs, way out of my budget. About a week later
I got a writing assignment and the payment was the same as the price of
the knobs. I bought them and told Adelaide that God had provided...
She said, "That was sweet of God wasn't it?  To get me these butterflies!"

SCRIPTURE:
Unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the
kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:3

God wants us to have the trust of a child...Adelaide had no problem believing
God had provided the butterfly knobs!

When Jesus' family came looking for Him and He said, "Whoever
does the will of my father is my brother, sister and mother." He was
not excluding them, but including others and we can know this
same family intimacy when we do the will of God.

Family was important Jesus, almost His last words on the cross were to John,
