THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
The work of Dr. Olivera Petrovich, an Oxford developmental
psychologist, indicates that human beings are "hard-wired" to believe
in God. She maintains that children 's belief is innate, and atheism "is
definitely an acquired position." It is easy for a child to believe . But as
we get older and the world has its effect on us; disappointment and
worries take their toll. Cynicism and doubt creep in.
