THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
We're not supposed to lose our faith by absorbing the values and ideas
of this sinful world. We are called to be salt and light of this world.

SCRIPTURE:
You are the salt of the earth but if the salt losea its saltiness, How can it
be made salty again?

God warned the Israelites, before they entered the promise-land, not to
become like the people living there. I think He gives us that same
warning today.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Though we lack the insight of Habakkuk, to see the future,
we too can see what God has done on the earth. We  can also see
what he could not see, God's love expressed in His Son. So we can
join the prophet in praying, "I stand in awe of your deeds!" And we
can joyfully put our future in God's hands (Al Cornell-Power for Today)

SCRIPTURE:
Lord, I have heard of your fame. I stand in awe of your deeds.
Habakkuk 3:2

There are so many people that stand in awe of politicians, movie stars, sports
figures...but here are ones we should stand in awe of:
God who created us:
Jesus who died for our soul:
The soldier that died for our freedom:

Greetings: God bless you this Lord's Day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
The work of  Dr. Olivera Petrovich, an Oxford  developmental
psychologist, indicates that human beings are "hard-wired" to believe
in God. She maintains that children 's belief is innate, and atheism "is
definitely an acquired position." It is easy for a child to believe . But as
we get older and the world has its effect on us; disappointment and
worries take their toll. Cynicism and doubt creep in.

SCRIPTURE:
Truly I tell you anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God
like a little child will never enter it. Mark 10:15
