We oft times think we have to be doing something, be on the
move to be effective. But the above verse tells us that sometimes
we need to just be still and recognize God and His power, recognize
that He is in Control!

It is very hard not to be anxious with so much division. It is bad
enough to have division in our country, but when we have it among
Christians, when we need to be united more now than ever before,
that is really sad. Satan is having a field day! PRAY!

The Scriptures tell us that it is greater than any buried treasure or the

With the poem is a poster that says, With God there is "HOPE"
even in the most hopeless situation. Today, we as a country seem
to be in a hopeless situation, but with God there is HOPE! Without

God is my Shelter
From the storms of life
God is my Shelter
From the things that bring strife.

SCRIPTURE:
You are a shelter from the storm and a shade from the heat.
Isaiah 25:4

God offers us shelter from the storms, encouragement when we
feel alone, hope when we feel lost and joy when we feel sad. He
often does this through the loving hands of others. We had the
sweetest note of encouragement yesterday from Dave, Karen and
Isabella Clark. It certainly lifted our spirits!

This is the day the Lord has made and I will rejoice and

I never think of the above Scripture, without thinking of my
dear friend, Mary Scroggins. When Mary and Joe could no
longer drive, we picked them up and took them to church and
this Scripture was Mary's greeting every Sunday. I miss then both.
Remember there is always, always something to be thankful for.
This will be a good day, because God made it!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
My brother Oliver, remains the weakest and helpless human being
I ever met, Yet he was one of the most powerful human beings I
ever met. ( Christopher de Vinch)

SCRIPTURE:
Three times I pleaded for the Lord to remove it from me. But he said,
"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."
2 Corinthians 12:8-9

The quote above is from a story the author wrote about his brother
Oliver. "The Power Of The Powerless." Oliver was a deaf mute and
mentally challenged, but he taught his brother valuable lessons.
The Scripture is about Paul's struggle with ill health and God's answer to
Paul's prayer.
God has a very special love for the helpless,  and so should we!

Jesus may have not to come to earth to reform, but if we come to Him, reform
